Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) has resumed its seasonal non-stop flights between Manila and Sapporo, which are set to operate for four months.
Starting on November 24, 2025, via flight PR 406 departing Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL), the seasonal flights will run until March 27, 2026. The resumption of flights are expected to boost travel to Sapporo, the capital city of Japan’s northern island of Hokkaido, PAL said on Tuesday.
“By re-launching this seasonal route, we are opening a gateway for travelers to experience Philippine Airlines’ world-class service and signature heartfelt hospitality, while supporting demand for flights between the two destinations,” PAL President Richard Nuttall said.
“The returning service expands PAL’s presence in Japan, boosting connections across the region,” he added.
The route from Sapporo to Manila also opens doors for Japanese travelers to explore and experience the Philippines’ vibrant culture and warm hospitality.
The non-stop flights to Sapporo’s New Chitose Airport will operate every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday using PAL’s Airbus A321neo aircraft. The 168-seater plane features 12 business class seats and 156 economy class seats, along with extensive inflight entertainment options and Wi-Fi connectivity.
PAL offers the largest network of destinations between the Philippines and Japan, with non-stop services to Osaka Kansai, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Tokyo Haneda, and Tokyo Narita, including direct flights from Cebu to both Osaka Kansai and Tokyo Narita.
The inaugural flight took off in style, with passengers receiving exclusive PAL merchandise before departure, PAL said.
