　日本ハムの伊藤大海投手が２５日、来年３月のＷＢＣ出場表明を行ったドジャース・大谷翔平との共闘を誓った。都内で伏見とともに最優秀バッテリー賞の表彰式に出席。２３年の世界一のメンバーとしてともに戦い、日本ハムの先輩でもある大谷の出場表明に対し、「日本にとってはすごくいいことだと思いますし、やっぱりどこのカテゴリーで活躍しても、日本のために戦うっていう姿勢は、大事というか、日本人選手として持ち続けておくべきところかなと僕は思うので。それをそういう風にあれだけ活躍して疲労もある中で参加してもらえるのは、日本の野球ファンの１人としてもうれしい」と語った。
