I bet you’ve never heard of this snow resort in Japan. Welcome to Shiraakaba Resort, just 3 hours from Tokyo. And you’re suddenly surrounded by five snow resorts. Some literally within walking distance. This is so nice. Let’s go. The runs unreal. The views even better. And yep, that’s a smoking volcano in the distance. But what really sold us? The hotel Ikinoa waking up here. Modern cozy Japanese rooms. You got it. Only in Japan do they give you skin care as part of amenities. After a big day on the slopes, this is what you come back to. It’s so beautiful. Oh my god, this is the nicest sauna I’ve ever seen. Then the dinner buffet hits. This is like a buffet food court. Unlimited crab legs, DIY soba noodles, Chinese food. I’m going to need another tray. There’s even a kids buffet. All served with this insane view for dinner. Bonus, a whole indoor hotring town, a massive gift shop, fun snow park, and arcade. Oh, and you can’t go wrong with a snacker on anyone. All of this is an easy train ride or direct bus from Shinjuku. Tag us snow lover you want to come here

We travelled 3 hours from Tokyo to Shirakaba Resort in Nagano and stayed at @ikenotaira.hotel which was surrounded by FIVE snow resorts within 20 mins drive.

For a short snow retreat from Shinjuku, Tokyo, this place was a dream.. the buffet? Even better 🤤 Honestly, I’d go back just for the buffet. Make @nagano_japan your next winter Japan trip 🏂⛷️☃️🏔️
