【北海道東九天八夜】EP1:札幌白色燈樹節&小樽運河散策(三角市場海鮮丼、天狗山夜景) 同場加映:第一天就崩潰掉手機?!

Please turn on CC. I’m heading to a long-awaited but never-before-seen territory. This is my third visit to Hokkaido. Seeing this familiar place, I knew I was flying again! This time I’m going to Hokkaido, which I haven’t been to in a long time. This seems to be my first time flying Hokkaido with Starlux Airlines . The ticket price for Hokkaido is enough to fly to the US… Starlux’s alleyway yakiniku restaurant is quite delicious ! And the ice cream from the Tainan Nianwei shop! Everyone knows that you can see Mount Fuji from the right side of the flight to Tokyo. I wanted to see if I could see it from the flight to Sapporo , and surprisingly I could! This should be clearer (iPhone 15). (Pro did his best!) You can see the plane’s shadow, it must be quite windy. But we landed safely at New Chitose Airport. Now I’m going to wait for someone at the airport. For some reason, we didn’t take the same flight. Luckily, New Chitose Airport is great for shopping. Like the Doraemon Sky Park you see now, Doraemon fans shouldn’t miss it! There’s also Royce, which specializes in chocolate. I bought a chocolate bread that’s supposedly their signature item. And of course , you have to try the ice cream when you come to Hokkaido ! Hello, I’ve finally arrived! After getting off the plane, we passed a milk bar. In Hokkaido, you have to drink milk like water . It looks so high-class ! There are also a lot of food there, like sea urchin rice and sushi. There was a ramen place earlier (Ramen Dojo) . Now we’re going to eat soup curry . I think that’s it. Lavi, I think we’ve arrived here. Soup curry. Original flavor , the spices are quite strong. I guess that’s it. I don’t think soup curry is to my liking. See? I’ll tell you, I don’t really like coconut flavor or coconut milk either. Do you prefer coconut? It tastes better. I made the right choice ! That’s yours. Okay, here you go. It ‘s not bad. Okay. ( I’ve fallen in love with soup curry!) We’re staying at the Keio Plaza Hotel tonight. It’s a very cozy and clean room . Do you like it? How much does it cost for one night? Answer~ Two nights cost around 6000 yen, about 3000 yen per night , not bad. Visiting Sapporo in early December, the streets were already full of Christmas lights. This is the road right outside Sapporo Station; walk straight ahead to Odori Park and Susukino. Suddenly it started snowing! Snowing! Snowing! I think I see the old K you mentioned over there ! Yes, that’s him! One more stop! This is Odori (Park) Station. Look, there are so many people; they’re probably all looking at the lights. What tower is that? Sapporo TV Tower or something? TV Tower… I’ve forgotten a bit (it’s Sapporo TV Tower). This area looks a bit like New Taipei Christmasland , but ten or a hundred times prettier (New Taipei Christmasland was quite beautiful this year too). Sapporo Christmasland ! And besides this, there’s a whole area behind it too. You see that green area? The Sapporo White Light Festival usually starts in late November and lasts until Christmas . Come and experience the full Christmas atmosphere! Sapporo is the largest city in Hokkaido and the fifth largest city in Japan. Nearly 40% of Hokkaido’s population lives in Sapporo, which is the political, economic, and cultural core of Hokkaido. Some people say that if you don’t take a photo with this, it’s like you haven’t been to Sapporo. Let me show you how cold it is now , only zero degrees Celsius (it smells so bad). Only zero degrees Celsius, my ears must be super red, super red, super cold. I saw Old K! It’s snowing ! It’s snowing! It’s snowing! I’m going to go ahead, it’s snowing! Our first late-night snack was McDonald’s. We ordered the chocolate pie and their new curry cream fries. We’re at Old K, right across from Old K (there’s someone livestreaming loudly next door). You can come here for late-night snacks, the view is amazing! After our late-night snack, we took a taxi back to the hotel. It was already 11 o’clock. Then the sad thing happened. When we got back to the hotel, we found out that our iPhone 16, which we had bought less than a week ago… My iPhone Pro went missing, so I rushed back to McDonald’s, thinking I’d left it there. Then I used the Find My iPhone app and it kept moving around, so I realized I’d left it in a taxi! No matter how many times I called or used the app to make the phone ring, the driver didn’t answer . I went to the police station to report it, and after an hour or two of this, there was still no result . I had to drag my tired body and terrible mood back to the hotel. Then it started snowing heavily, and I almost froze to death! Finally, I remembered to write our hotel information in Japanese on the lost iPhone and ask him to return it when he had time . Half-asleep, I kept thinking about what to do the next day : continue the trip? Keep looking for the iPhone? Or just buy a new one? When I woke up at 6 am, I checked the location again and found it was right there in the hotel! I was so relieved and grateful to the driver for bringing it back to the counter!!! I was incredibly touched!!! Hello, we’re going to Otaru now. Otaru Canal, and then there’s cantaloupe ! Cantaloupe, what is cantaloupe? Cantaloupe ice! Oh, this is Sapporo Station during the day. It’s four degrees now, not too cold, even though I say that, I’m still wearing a lot. Come on, look how much you’re wearing! I’ve worn everything I can, except my gloves! We’re taking the 11:30 train to Otaru. Last night, because of the lost iPhone incident , I barely slept, so I got up very late. I need to get enough sleep to have energy for fun. There are quite a lot of people taking the train. We’re on the express train to Otaru now. How long is the ride ? 40 minutes, 40 minutes? Then we’ll be there after exiting the station? (Yes) Or is it a long walk? It’ll be a 10-minute walk to the canal. Every time I come to Otaru Station, I feel it has a unique charm. We’re in Otaru now. We’re at the Otaru Triangle Market. There are lots of seafood bowls. This is strawberry! And it’s only 850 yen! Yes, you can buy this! Muscat grapes are so cheap! Okay, we’ll buy cantaloupe later ! Cantaloupe is expensive ! We’re going to Takinami Shokudo King Crab. This place has a huge selection of sashimi donburi (rice bowls) and also sells seafood directly. After all the trouble last night, we finally had our first meal of the day. This is the most famous restaurant in the Sankaku Market , called Takinami Shokudo. We queued for over an hour. Remember to fill out the waiting list form first , then queue up next to the counter. They’ll call your number and your name. After you order , they’ll tell you an approximate time to come back and wait. They won’t call you, so just remember to come back within the time they say. I ordered the fourth-grade dish. Actually, because this place has a long wait, we had already compared prices… Some restaurants have issues with ingredients being skimped on, while others are ridiculously expensive. This one, however, is definitely worth the wait. Let’s see if it’s good! Mine was the third-class dish, which included salmon, salmon roe, and sea urchin. Hers had more crab meat. It was delicious, but travel time is precious, so next time I might try a different place. The pieces were huge, although there weren’t many . Was it good ? So delicious! The taste of happiness~ You’re being too dramatic. This is the Chuo-dori street in front of Otaru Station. Walk to the end, it’s about a ten-minute walk, and you’ll reach the Otaru Canal. About halfway down, you’ll see the former Temiya Line, which was mainly used to transport coal and seafood. Keep walking, and you’ll reach Otaru’s most famous attraction, the Otaru Canal. Completed in 1923 (Taisho 12), the canal was originally built to allow small boats to transport goods from larger ships. After fulfilling its purpose in 1986 (Showa 61), it was partially filled in and transformed into the current walking path. You can also choose to take a canal cruise to enjoy the scenery on both banks for about 40 minutes. The cantaloupe pop-up is located on Izubakoji Street near the Otaru Canal. It’s perfect for a stroll along the canal. They sell cantaloupe pop-ups on the first floor of Izubakoji Street next to the Otaru Canal. When you think of Hokkaido, you think of milk, melon, king crab, and soup curry. We’ve already had milk curry and soup curry. I haven’t had the king crab yet, but I’m eating cantaloupe now— it ‘s so rich and delicious! I’m so easily satisfied! Walking along Sakaimachi-dori, I’ll come across the LeTao main store. They have an dine-in area where you can have dessert and coffee to replenish your energy before continuing your exploration. In winter, Otaru is already sunset at 4 PM . Since I’m in Hokkaido, I definitely have to go to Rokkatei to buy my favorite lime raisin cookies ! This is it! If you haven’t tried it, you really should! Highly recommend it. For personal consumption, just buy the unpackaged kind. They also have these all-inclusive gift sets. All your Rokkatei needs in one go! This steam clock is one of Otaru’s most iconic landmarks, located at the entrance of the famous Otaru Music Box Museum. It chimes precisely every 15 minutes. Every few minutes, the steam clock will spew steam, making it one of only two remaining steam clocks in the world. The other is in Vancouver. We’re going to Tenguyama to see the night view , one of Hokkaido’s three major night views. The price seems to have gone up; it’s different from the price I saw online. Oh well, we’re here now, let’s go! The view from the back is quite beautiful too. The Tenguyama night view, along with the night views of Mount Hakodate and Mount Moiwa in Sapporo, is known as one of the “Three Great Night Views of Hokkaido.” We took the Tenguyama Ropeway up the mountain, which only took about 4 minutes to reach the summit. We’re back in Sapporo! On Sunday, many ramen shops were closed , and it was almost 10 pm. Only this one was open (Kuraku Ramen). Dinner ramen finally arrived ! And it seemed to have corn and butter. I lost my phone yesterday and didn’t sleep well all night, plus today was a long and fun day. I’m exhausted! Tomorrow we’re heading east to Hokkaido. See you next time!
