TOKYO: Japan’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs, KUNIMITSU Ayano, expressed to Ahmed Alnaas, the Libyan Chargé d’Affaires, that the Japanese government plans to enhance cooperation with Libya across various sectors.

Her statement came during a courtesy call by the Libyan diplomat on November 20.

According to the foreign ministry, State Minister Kunimitsu stated at the beginning that the travel advisory for Misrata city has been lowered and expressed her anticipation for further stabilization of the security situation in the future.

She also mentioned that Japan will cooperate in the development of human resources.

Charge d’Affaires Alnaas expressed appreciation for the reduced travel advisory for Misrata.

Both parties have agreed to continue fostering high-level exchanges between the two nations and to collaborate in enhancing Japan-Libya relations across various sectors, including economic and diplomatic initiatives, as stated by the ministry.
