UNIQLO announces the renewal of its official supplier agreements with the Swedish Ski Association and Swedish Curling Association. Through the extension, the company continues to support Sweden’s athletes with advanced LifeWear apparel and expands its commitment to youth development through new initiatives at the FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup Toyama Nanto 2026 and the Karuizawa International Curling.

Strengthening a Trusted Partnership with Sweden Mogul and Curling Association
Since 2021, UNIQLO has partnered with the Swedish Ski Association, providing its LifeWear apparel for mogul athletes across competition, training, and travel. This year marks the fifth anniversary of the collaboration. At the Mogul World Cup in Finland in December 2025, Swedish athletes will debut newly designed competition wear developed in partnership with UNIQLO.

Walter Wallberg, a member of the Swedish mogul team, commented: “We’ve developed new wear with UNIQLO again this year. I was satisfied with last year’s model, but this time the design has evolved even further, and I’m excited to wear it. I’ll be wearing this gear at the World Cup and, most importantly, at the Olympics next February. My goal is to win two gold medals, and I want to deliver my best performance with this wear.”

UNIQLO also continues its collaboration with the Swedish Curling Association, following the team’s outstanding achievements at the 2022 Winter Games (Men’s Gold, Women’s Bronze, Mixed Doubles Silver). The LifeWear concept has been highly praised, and the partnership has grown stronger through ongoing apparel support.

Niklas Edin, a member of the Swedish curling team, shared his thoughts on the continued partnership and the impact of UNIQLO’s support. “We are truly excited to be competing in UNIQLO gear again this season. Every year, we’ve been impressed by the quality and comfort of the wear, and this season takes it to the next level–both in performance and style. As we prepare for the upcoming championships and the Olympic Games, our team is united in our goal to deliver our very best. We appreciate your continued support and look forward to representing Sweden on the world stage.”

As youth development partner, UNIQLO will sponsor the FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup Toyama Nanto 2026 for the first time. The event, held in Nanto City, Toyama Prefecture, Japan from February 28 to March 1, will feature mogul and dual mogul competitions. UNIQLO plans to host events for local elementary and junior high school students, offering them a rare opportunity to interact with top athletes to foster future talent.

At the Karuizawa International Curling, held from March 1 to 3 in Karuizawa, Nagano Prefecture, UNIQLO will continue its support, hosting a Junior Curling Clinic. This year, a new ‘beginner category’ will be introduced to allow more children to experience the sport. International exchange opportunities with Swedish athletes and overseas instructors will also be provided, broadening the reach of curling.

Koji Yanai, Group Senior Executive Officer at Fast Retailing Co., Ltd., commented: “UNIQLO is committed to nurturing children’s dreams through sports and to helping future athletes reach the world stage. Through our partnership with the Swedish national teams, we not only provide competition wear but also promote youth development initiatives like the UNIQLO Dream Project, strengthening efforts to grow winter sports.”
