【北海道】秋の函館🍂絶景に感動✨OMO5に泊まるご褒美旅Vlog✈️①
Hello, my name is Shie. I recently went on a three-day, two-night trip to Hakodate, Hokkaido. It’s been three years since my last trip to Hokkaido, but this was my first time in Hakodate . It was my husband’s first time in Hokkaido. The flight from Itami Airport (Osaka International Airport) to Hakodate Airport took just about an hour and a half. It was a bit bumpy, which made me a little nervous. The city of Hakodate, where we were heading, came into view. We arrived at Hakodate Airport. Now, we headed to JR Hakodate Station. We took the shuttle bus. The ride took about 20 minutes, costing 700 yen. The sparkling ocean came into view. I’d also like to ride the tram. We arrived at JR Hakodate Station. It was very cold, so I’m glad I brought my down coat. First, we went to the second floor of JR Hakodate Station for lunch. We went to Ajisai. My husband ordered a Sapporo Classic (600 yen), a Hokkaido-inspired drink. Side dishes arrived with it. We toasted with water and beer. This side dish went perfectly with the beer. Here’s some Zangi (2 pieces, 500 yen). It was surprisingly bigger than I expected. It was freshly fried, piping hot, and very juicy. I hope the video conveys how delicious it is. And this is the special salt (1,250 yen). Hakodate is famous for its salt ramen. The noodles are straight and smooth. It’s luxurious with lots of toppings. There’s also plenty of bamboo shoots and roast pork. The clear, translucent soup is light. It was a bowl full of flavor. It’s cut. The perfectly cut seasoned egg was the best. Thank you for the meal. Now, let’s head to the hotel. It’s a very windy day , making it feel even colder. I can see my hotel. It’s about a five-minute walk from Hakodate Station. I’ve arrived at OMO5 Hakodate. I’m checking in. Amenities in the hallway include a toothbrush set, razor, hairbrush, body towel, cotton, and green tea. The elevator hall on the first floor resembles a red brick warehouse. I head to the 13th floor, where my room is . This is my room. Let’s go inside. Guests are required to take off their shoes before entering. This room is a twin room with a view bath. It’s 25 square meters. There are two 200x110cm beds. Separate bed sheets were provided. I noticed some embroidery that evokes Hakodate. There was a TV here. When I opened the curtains, I could see the entire city of Hakodate and the ocean beyond. I found a supermarket at the back of the hotel. In front of the TV was a compact chair and table. Behind the bed was a desk and other amenities. The table looked like this. When I opened this door, there were glasses and mugs, and an electric kettle underneath. There was a safe here and a refrigerator underneath. There were slippers for the hotel by the entrance door. Next to the entrance was a closet with slippers, a basket for going to the hot springs, hangers, and deodorizing spray. I looked at the bathroom. First, the sink. It had a very relaxing atmosphere. There was hand and face soap. The cups had the numbers 1 and 2 written on them. There were face towels and bath towels under the sink, and a hair dryer next to them. This is the bath where you can soak while looking out the window. Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap were all gathered here. Opening this leads to the toilet. It’s also nice that towels and slippers are provided. I head to OMO BASE on the second floor. Oh, it looks like I can see the sunset. It’s frustrating, but I can’t. I arrived at OMO BASE. This is a public space where you can relax. It embodies the essence of Hakodate. There are so many seats that you might have trouble deciding where to sit. It sways. The OMO Cafe & Bar is also located here. By the way, it’s a 24-hour self-checkout and cashless payment system. It’s a great place to take a break after the hot springs. I went out to the terrace. It was windy and cold that day, but it would be great on a nice day. Now, I’m off to Mount Hakodate. The bus ride was perfect. The ropeway was closed for inspection at the time, so I took the bus straight up to Mount Hakodate. (I wish I’d tried the ropeway, too…) Before I knew it, the bus was packed, and it was steadily ascending. I could see a glimpse of it through the trees. When we arrived, it was packed with buses—amazing. I was excited to see the famous night view. The sun was setting. This is the view from the summit plaza. It’s beautiful enough even from here. Since I’m here, I decided to go a little higher. I made it to the rooftop observation deck. I was mesmerized by the overwhelming beauty. I’m so glad I made it. It’s getting darker. It might be getting too cold soon. I want to keep looking, but I head to the bus stop. After waiting in line for about 20 minutes, I was able to board. By chance, I managed to get a seat. I gazed outside, basking in the afterglow. Was the moon still visible? The moon and the night view were amazing. After this, I was able to see the best night view of the trip. A miracle had happened. After enjoying Mount Hakodate to the fullest, I headed back down to the city. I arrived at JR Hakodate Station. Let’s go for dinner. My husband made a reservation for us while we were waiting for the bus at Mt. Hakodate. We went to Unagi. It’s about a seven-minute walk from Hakodate Station. My husband ordered a classic draft beer mug (530 yen). I ordered Yamazaki barrel-aged plum wine (780 yen) with hot water. We toasted. For the side dish, we ordered Matsumae pickles (500 yen). First, we had a five-piece sashimi platter (1,280 yen x 2). Salmon, yellowtail, mackerel, tuna, and sea bream. Everything was very fresh and delicious. We dipped the tuna in salt, which was a first for me. Next, we had homemade Camembert cheese fries (680 yen). This is a must-try for cheese lovers. The inside was soft and delicious. Here’s grilled Atka mackerel (half, 780 yen). It was fatty and delicious. The flesh was soft and very juicy. And then we had golden Inca potato butter grilled fish (680 yen). I wonder why there’s salted fish on the side? I wonder if it’s meant to be eaten like that. I later learned that this is the standard way to eat it in Hakodate. This is Tachibana Tempura (980 yen). It had a soft texture and was rich and creamy. Thank you for the meal. I went shopping before going back to the hotel. I spotted it from the window of our room. We returned to the hotel. My husband went to the hot springs, and I relaxed in the bath in our room. Tomorrow is going to be another busy day, and I’m looking forward to it. I’d like to stay at other hotels, like the booklet in the room. Thank you for watching. Please like and subscribe to our channel.
