Day 1 of #IESabroadNagoya’s trip to Kanazawa, Japan! 🇯🇵✨ Through the lens of Abby K
This is day one of my trip to Kanazawa with Ayas Abraad Nagoya. We started off our day taking public transportation and the Shinkansen to this small little town called Higashi Chayagayi. We got to go to this traditional tea house where we got to try um a matcha and a wagashi. We also got to play all of these traditional instruments including the shamanisen which was really cool. And then we got some food. I got to have dipping udon, which was really delicious. And then we went on um just a little tour of the area and just got to look at all the different shops. It was raining pretty heavily, but it’s okay. We had umbrellas. We then got taken to this um shop to do designs on um wooden boxes as Kazawa was famous for their gold leaf. So, we got to do gold leaf design boxes. They packed it up for us and everything. And it was just super cool getting to do our own design and you know revealing the gold like that. We then got to go to our hotels which were pretty nice and then had some time to explore the nearby mall which we found had a Pokémon center so of course we had to stop by there. There was also some gacha gacha stores and then we headed over to the hotel for dinner. Dinner was really delicious as always. We had multi-course meal with some great soups and this I think it was ham steak. They also gave us some coffee at the end and this beautiful dessert Monday.
