【November in Japan 2025③】Complete Guide to Today’s Temperature & What to Wear!
Hi everyone! It’s RUBER! Starting today, I’ll be posting four special videos all about Japan in November 2025! Day 1: Must-see spots
and nationwide events in November. Day 2: The best seasonal foods
you’ve gotta try this month. Day 3: Japan’s weather
and what to wear in November. And finally— Day 4: A deep dive into Japan’s most beautiful highlight of the season… the autumn leaves! This video is Day 3, so let’s talk about Japan’s November weather and what to wear to stay comfy while you travel! As October’s warmth slowly fades,
the air in Japan turns crisp and clear— you can almost feel winter approaching. The cool morning breeze mixes with the gentle scent of fragrant olive flowers, creating a calm, peaceful atmosphere
that feels like true late autumn. Across Japan, the weather is generally stable with very little rain. On sunny days, the sky looks extra blue
and the autumn colors shine even brighter. But mornings and evenings can get quite chilly, so adjusting your outfit throughout the day is super important. Even if it’s warm during the afternoon,
temperatures drop quickly after sunset, so layering is the key to staying comfortable. Tokyo and the Kanto Area Tokyo, Saitama, Kanagawa, and Chiba all share almost the same climate. In November, Tokyo’s city trees gradually turn a beautiful golden color, and just walking through the streets
lets you feel the change of seasons. In early November, temperatures
range from 13 to 22°C (55 to 72°F). A long-sleeve shirt or a light jacket will
keep you perfectly comfortable during the day. By late November, it cools down
to 8 to 17°C (46 to 63°F), so layering a sweater or coat is recommended when you go out. The air also gets dry this time of year, so don’t forget your lip balm and hand cream to stay comfortable! Osaka, Kyoto, and the Kansai Area Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, and Hyogo are
slightly warmer and calmer than Tokyo. In November, the famous autumn light-ups begin — temples and parks glow at night, and the mix of cool air and warm lights feels magical. In early November, temperatures range
from 14 to 23°C (57 to 73°F). A cardigan or light coat is perfect for
walking around during the day. By late November, it cools down to 9 to 18°C (48 to 64°F), and in Kyoto especially, mornings and nights can get pretty chilly. If you plan to go sightseeing after dark, bring a scarf or a pair of gloves to stay warm while you enjoy the view. Kyushu and Shikoku Kyushu—including Fukuoka, Kagoshima,
and Miyazaki—and Shikoku—with cities like Kochi, Tokushima, and Ehime—
are among the warmest parts of Japan. The trees here start changing color a little later, so mid- to late November is the best time for autumn leaves. In early November, temperatures are
around 15 to 25°C (59 to 77°F), so a T-shirt with a light long-sleeve layer
is all you need. By late November, it drops to 10 to 20°C (50 to 68°F), and a sweater or a light coat becomes
perfect for the season. Since mornings and evenings can feel cooler, choose clothes that are easy to put on
and take off for smooth temperature control. Hiroshima and the Chugoku Area Places like Hiroshima, Okayama, Yamaguchi, and Shimane enjoy calm, sunny days throughout November. The air is clear, and it’s one of the best times of year for sightseeing. In early November, temperatures range from 13 to 22°C (55 to 72°F), and you’ll feel comfortable in just a cardigan during the day. By late November, it cools down to 8 to 17°C (46 to 63°F), so mornings and evenings can feel a bit chilly. Even if the daytime feels mild, the breeze can make it cooler than expected, so bring a light coat or a scarf to stay comfortable. Okinawa Okinawa is Japan’s southernmost region, and even in November, the weather stays warm and pleasant! It’s also less crowded this month, making it a perfect time to relax and explore at your own pace. In early November, temperatures
stay around 22 to 28°C (72 to 82°F), so short sleeves or a T-shirt are totally fine. By late November, it drops slightly
to 19 to 25°C (66 to 77°F), so a long-sleeve shirt or a thin hoodie will do the trick. When the north wind picks up,
it can feel cooler than it looks, so pack a light windbreaker just in case! Hokkaido and Aomori Hokkaido and Aomori are the first parts of Japan to welcome winter. The morning air is icy cold, and on some days, you can even see your breath! By this time, winter lights and illuminations start to appear across the cities, creating that magical early-winter atmosphere. In early November, temperatures range
from 3 to 13°C (37 to 55°F), so you’ll definitely need a thick coat
and a warm scarf. By late November, it drops to around
−2 to 8°C (28 to 46°F), and many areas see their first snowfall of the season. If you’re visiting, make sure to pack non-slip shoes or winter boots for safe walking! The Tohoku Area In northern regions like Sendai,
Niigata, and Yamagata, November feels like that quiet moment
between the end of autumn and the start of winter. On clear days, the sky is bright blue and the air feels incredibly clean. In early November, temperatures range from 6 to 16°C (43 to 61°F), so a sweater or light jacket will keep you comfortable. By late November, it cools down to
1 to 11°C (34 to 52°F), and in the mountain areas, you might even catch some early snow. To stay warm, bring a coat, scarf, and non-slip shoes—
especially if you’ll be walking outdoors at night. November in Japan is a quiet, peaceful month when autumn slowly turns into winter. Mornings and evenings get colder,
the air becomes clear, and the scenery looks even more beautiful under that crisp light. When it comes to clothing, layering is the key! In Hokkaido and the Tohoku region,
you’ll need a thick coat and non-slip shoes, while in Tokyo or Osaka, a sweater and a light coat will be just right. Don’t worry about overpacking —
Japan has plenty of shops like UNIQLO and GU, where you can easily buy whatever you need after you arrive. Adjust to the weather and enjoy your late-autumn adventure in Japan! This is RUBER from Earst JAPAN, and I’ll keep bringing you even more
amazing stories about Japan! Thanks for watching, and see you in the next video! Bye! See you!
