I’m in Japan And I just arrived at the Tokyo Narita Airport I’ll fly to Hokkaido While waiting for the next flight, I’ll visit the Narita Temple It’s very near the airport And Naritasan Omotesando Street
A very fun street with many food stalls I’ll use my waiting time for that So make sure to follow me! Firstly, about the weather
I have this trip in December, and the weather is amazing It’s 1*C now, and I’m wearing 2 layers of shirt Today’s morning is so cool and fresh
Not too cold By seeing the sunlight
We can see how clear the air is here Oh, I found this which is amazing On the street, we can see the statues of 12 Zodiac signs I saw a horse, and now a monkey What is this? A dinosaur! A dog It’s 9 AM I even want to film the trash cans here
Because they organize the trash carefully They put them in bags, look very tidy and clean This is a good thing to learn in Japan, where they distinguish organic and recycled trash They’ll do that before throwing outside From the airport to here, I paid not too much money for a train ticket, only 50,000 VND And it’s only 2 stations to be here And from the Narita station, we’ll walk for around 15 minutes to the temple And on the way there, we can see so many things on the street We can try the food and buy souvenirs
It’s a bit early now But the stores will be opened soon! And the Naritasan Omotesando Street has a length of about 1Km And we will walk for about 10 minutes And we can try so many things When coming here, make sure to try the Unadon (eel bowl) It’s made from fresh eel In this place, the chef is preparing fresh eel for the dish I don’t feel the way to the temple is far because there are so many things to see! We’re at the temple now I have to say that the temple is so beautiful! I’m like “wow”! My previous plan was to wander around the airport only But you have to take some time to visit this temple if you can This temple is over 1000 years old
It was founded in 940 Before going inside the temple, we should wash our hands here And our face
With this clean water This water is very clean This is the outside of the Narita Temple, how gorgeous it is

That is the going-down side How do you feel about this temple? I love it so much, it gives me a peaceful vibe The air is so fresh and we’re at this peaceful temple It’s so good to start a day like this We’ll write our wishes here The wishes that are hung here are very sacred I’ll make a wish about my career I’ll write on this wooden piece that has the painting of 2 dogs on the back If we make a wish for health and peace
There’ll be a Buddha painting I’ll write my wish on the back and hang it on that rack I’m currently at the Kawatoyo Honten, the most ancient Unadon restaurant on this street With Japanese, eating Unadon is a method to release stress Because traditionally, Unadon is very good for the health Because the eel has many nutrients Especially, this Narita area has many lakes and rivers, so many eels are grown here So that’s why this is the special dish in Narita I saw this restaurant on the way, it’s over 150 years old And I love the way they prepare fresh eel right before the dish Look at my box! The skin is crispy and the meat is soft After we finished the dish, the stores were more crowded now It’s around 11 AM now We need more than 2 hours to walk around this area, visit the temple, and eat Unadon We’ll go back to the Narita station We’ll use the train to go back to the airport to fly to Hokkaido I can meet Ngoc again in Hokkaido [Vinh]: We’ve traveled together a lot, right?
[Ngoc]: We visited Bhutan, Ha Giang, we went to beaches [Vinh]: Mountain areas too
[Ngoc]: Yeah, and now, we’re visiting the place with the softest snow in the world Wow, it’s Hokkaido

If you go to a cold area, make sure to buy the thickest Heattech shirt The one that is for those who ski We should wear warm clothes carefully, so we won’t catch a cold And if you want to have great photos, you should prepare skiing clothes Beautiful goggles So we can take many photos Or we can rent those items right in the resort This time, we stay at Club Med
Last time, we were in Club Med Maldives I also spent a trip to Club Med Lijiang And for the 3rd time, I visit Club Med Sahoro – Hokkaido The tip for a winter trip is that we should prepare warm clothes The important thing is that the material must keep us warm well In Hokkaido, the streets can be slippery when the snow melts So we should prepare specialized shoes for that too [Vinh]: Shoes with studs underneath
[Ngoc]: Yeah And we should prepare medicines with us
Because the weather changes rapidly, we may not adapt well So make sure to prepare that when you’re from Vietnam And the rest is that we just need to spend quality time here Because the activities of Club Med are all-inclusive We just need to come here and take a rest

Oh, it’s so cold, nice! We prepared our outfits carefully, so we’re feeling so comfortable We wear a Heattech layer inside, and Ngoc is wearing a thick sweatshirt I also wear a shirt that has a warming system too [Vinh]: Wow, you prepared everything so well
[Ngoc]: This heating system I’ll show you so you can buy it for your trip It has a heating system like this inside, and it warms up my back So you should prepare the same thing when going to a snowy place It’s very warm and we’re not afraid that we’ll be cold [Vinh]: Did you have a good sleep last night?
[Ngoc]: I slept without knowing anything We could see a fairy scene in the morning, right? There’re 5 Club Med resorts in Japan
And this is the oldest one And this is the first one, from 1987 until now! This is also one of the oldest skiing resorts in Japan Take some and add some syrup
Then we can have a delicious shaved ice It really looks like shaved ice The price for 1 night in this Club Med is applied for the early winter season It’s around 17-18 million VND for 1 night In a lower peak seasons, it can be at around 14 million VND There can be seasons that one night here is only at 4,000 Yen [Ngoc]: Around 7-8 million VND
[Vinh]: So make sure to check the schedule! The price range was shared So you can refer for your next trip to Club Med Hokkaido We’ll choose some clothes We can rent them, they’re fashionable Or we can buy them Just like the other Club Med, there’re shirts with 45 and 88 numbers The signature numbers of Club Med Wow, the clothes are really great We have swimsuits If you don’t know what to wear, you can choose these items right on the rack I rent this jacket to take photos I was bored with the previous one
We can rent this for 6,500 Yen for 1 day We’re waiting to rent shoes The preparing process is quite long We have to rent clothes, shoes, and helmets Ski poles I’ll take a pair of gloves too But I love this place that there’re Vietnamese staff It makes me feel more comfortable We can speak our mother-tongue language and ask for their help [Vinh]: Do you feel cold here?
[Ngoc]: A bit! [After 30 minutes] We’re getting used to it, just like a baby learn how to walk After falling down for a few times, we can learn how to stand up correctly How to get on a hill, and how to get down [Vinh]: How to stand still too
[Ngoc]: Yeah, I could hardly move This is a new change for me because I have been scared to ski But today, I attended in a skiing class for beginners We just learned how to walk on the snow, not skiing yet But when we can ski a short path, it feels so great The excitement of knowing how to ski is getting more and more fun And I have to mention one more time about the snow here
It’s beautiful and smooth Hokkaido has one of the most-qualified snow in the world Let’s take a selfie My lips are so numb that I can hardly feel it when talking [Vinh]: That’s funny
[Ngoc]: I cannot say the word “tuyết” (snow) It’s so fun yet tiring! Because we have to use the power of our whole body to control So it’s a bit tired But it’s so fun, I want to ski more This is the main restaurant that we’ll have our main meals here It’s the peak time for breakfast, 8 AM I love this red design of the restaurant
It pops out in the middle of white snow After playing sports in the snow, we can get in a hot tub It’s one of the methods to heal our body’s energy I cannot film inside that area because we’ll be naked 100% But there’s a general area outside and we can get in an Ofuro We can stay in the middle of the snow
Male and female can get into the same tub We’ll try that! This is octopus
But we have to order it outside from the menu set We’ll dip this octopus sashimi into the hotpot This dish of octopus is more than 300,000 VND [Vinh]: 2,000 Yen
[Ngoc]: Around 340,000 VND OMG, this is the dish I love, guys! If you love Japanese cuisine, you cannot skip this one! So good~ This one has a higher price, around 16,000 Yen [Vinh]: Around 3 million VND
[Ngoc]: But I really recommend you to try this I usually combine this with some alcoholic drinks Because it’s quite nutritious, so the alcohol can balance it We’ll have our dinner right in this restaurant Mina Mina Restaurant, a hotpot restaurant On the previous days, we had buffets in the other restaurants To diversify the experience, they’ll have many restaurants with many concepts And we don’t have to pay money for this hotpot
It’s already included in our room fee The other dishes that I ordered outside the inclusive set are octopus, sea urchin, and Hokkaido king crab We have to pay money for that But we have to make a reservation here
Otherwise, we cannot have a table for our dinner [Ngoc]: Our hotpot toppings are varied
[Vinh]: Hokkaido scallops Shrimps, clams, salmon, tuna [Vinh]: Pork meat
[Ngoc]: Yeah, beef, and so many kinds of vegetable I mean, this hotpot is worth the price! I’m wearing this shirt with the number 88, the signature number of Club Med 54 and 88 are the special numbers of this resort Today’s theme is wearing clothes with numbers
How can we know the theme, by asking the staff? We can check it on the website or in the activity information that they share us daily Remember when we visited Club Med Maldives?
We could check the theme on the information board The alcoholic drinks on the menu are also varied, wine, champagne, and strong liquors,… We can order them, but we have to pay money! We also ordered this A5 beef Because we have to eat Japanese beef when coming here, it’s so so good! And this is one of the most expensive beef types in Japan This dish is very special that we must try in Hokkaido, king crab! [Vinh]: My favorite dish
[Ngoc]: Yeah, king crab! We also have to pay money for this, around 3 million VND This one too
It’ll be around 3-4 million VND for each Yeah, 3 special dishes But the ingredients here are highly qualified So we had 3 days and 2 nights at
Club Med Sahoro – Hokkaido I think if you just want to experience this place, then 3 days and 2 nights are enough But if you want to learn more about skiing, you can stay longer, maybe 5-6 days Because we can take a class daily, with higher and higher level I’m sure that you’re curious about the fee
So I’ll share the total fee The total fee for a 3-day-2-night trip is around 30 million VND for 1 person And make sure to save some money for the extra services I love this resort is that the food is amazing Yeah, it’s so good and diverse too! It changes continuously that we weren’t bored about that The resort is not too big, so the atmosphere is very cozy And we can explore the whole resort just by walking And the special thing is that we can have every activity for everyone, from children to the elderly The only minus point here is that the resort is located in a high mountainous area So the snow is thick for us to ski
But we cannot do any other things outside And please be aware that the taxi fee is very expensive if you want to go outside The taxi fee can be up to 30 million VND for 1 way ride We’re on the bus, ready to move to another resort It’s Club Med Tomamu – Hokkaido
