You MUST come here if you visit Kyoto; trust me 🤝 #kyoto #fallcolors #japan

roll. Don’t levitate to this amazing fall color spot in Kyoto. If you are coming to Japan this fall to see autumn colors and you’re looking for an amazing off the-beaten path spot without crowds and stunning fall foliage, you’re in luck cuz I’mma share one of my favorite hidden gems in the city with you. This amazing spot is located in western Kyoto among a cluster of famous temples and shrines and it is often overlooked by tourists. But once you enter these amazing temple grounds, you will soon be greeted by some of the most stunning fall foliage you have ever seen. Accompanied by historical shrine buildings, you can spend hours here and explore some of the most vibrant autumn leaves you will ever see in Japan. And even on a weekend during peak fall colors, the temple grounds were pretty empty, making this the perfect off the-beaten path spot to explore. This amazing temple is called Shincho Gokuin/ Shinyoto, and it is located within walking distance from Shinyoto bus stop on the Kyoto city bus number five. And if you are looking for even more fall color spots, feel free to check out my newly released fall color guide with more than 50 spots to check out in Tokyo around Mount Fuji, Kyoto, Osaka, and many other more hidden gems.
