Miso Nikomi Udon is a famous local specialty from Nagoya, Aichi prefecture in Japan.
It’s a type of udon noodle soup simmered in a thick, rich, and savory broth made from Hatcho Miso, a distinctive local miso paste. It is traditionally served in the earthenware pot it was cooked in.
We visited a restaurant called ‘Takara-ya’, located very close to Osu Kannon Temple in Nagoya. The restaurant had a wonderful atmosphere and the staff were very polite, and the taste of the Miso Nikomi Udon was truly the best.
