On the 6th, Orix began their training camp at the INOUE Tobu Sports Park ball park (Kochi City Tobu General ball park) in Kochi City. On the first day, a welcome ceremony was held before practice.
Coach Kishida Mamoru said, “We started here in Kochi a year ago, and everyone worked hard with the determination to make up for last year’s fifth-place finish. We weren’t able to win, but we’ll start anew here in Kochi and do our best to make this a fulfilling two-week camp, so we appreciate your support and encouragement.”
Afterwards, the commander smiled and said, “Please let me at least go out for a meal (laughs). Kochi is famous for its sake and bonito, so there are lots of delicious things to eat. I’d like to eat lots of fruit as well.” They will also be energized by Tosa’s “local cuisine” and spend a fruitful autumn.
