Jeju Air will increase the convenience of Korean and Japanese travelers by increasing the number of Incheon-Osaka routes.
Jeju Air has increased its Incheon-Osaka route, which had been operating four times a day, to three times a day since October 26, the start of the winter schedule, and started operating a total of seven times. This is the largest number of flights among airlines operating between Korea and Japan.
The Osaka route, where Jeju Air has started operating more flights, is the most frequently used route by passengers traveling between Korea and Japan.
According to tourism statistics from the Japanese Government Tourism Bureau, a total of 8,817,765 Koreans visited Japan last year. Of these, 77.9% of tourists visited Japan more than twice in 2024 alone, and Osaka was the highest visited area at 32.7%.
The Osaka route is also in high demand for Japanese passengers. As of last year’s departure from Japan, about 470,000 Japanese travelers visited Korea via Jeju Air, of which 139,000 departed from Osaka Kansai Airport, accounting for 29.5% of the total.
Jeju Air also plans to secure the demand for Japanese to revisit Korea by increasing the number of Incheon-Osaka routes.

Jeju Air analyzed the boarding performance of Japanese members and found that 22.9% of Silver Plus members who are promoted on more than five rides in two years and 29.2% of Gold members who are promoted on more than 15 rides used Osaka routes.
In fact, according to the “2024 Foreign Tourist Survey” by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the rate of Japanese returning to Korea reached 72.5% in 2024, of which 44.7% of tourists visited Korea more than four times.
Jeju Air operates flights to and from Osaka from three major domestic airports: Incheon, Gimpo, and Gimhae.
An official from Jeju Air said, “The Incheon-Osaka route is one of the most popular routes for both travelers from Korea and Japan, and through this increase, we will be able to provide more diverse schedules,” adding, “We will strengthen our position on the Korea-Japan route by continuously expanding routes and enhancing passenger convenience.”
