World No. 16 Naomi Osaka has recently shared glimpses of her trip to the Caribbean after concluding her season with an injury during her run at the Japan Women’s Open tournament. The Japanese star sustained the injury to her left leg during the second round of the 14th edition of the tournament and subsequently withdrew from her quarterfinal round.

The winner of seven WTA singles titles delivered notable performances in her 2025 season, notably at the US Open and other tournaments. To reach the semifinal stage, Naomi Osaka defeated Greet Minnen, Hailey Baptiste, Daria Kasatkina, Coco Gauff, and Karolína Muchová in the quarterfinal round.
Apart from this, she also reached the title-winning match of the Canadian Open after surpassing Liudmila Samsonova, Jeļena Ostapenko, Anastasija Sevastova, Elina Svitolina, and Clara Tauson. She lost to 19-year-old Canadian rising star Victoria Mboko.
Osaka had also concluded her 2024 season early due to a back injury and began her 2025 season at the Auckland Open on an impressive note. The Chūō-ku, Osaka, native reached the title-winning match, losing to the former World No. 12, Danish player Clara Tauson.
Unfortunately, she had to end her season once again due to an injury and has recently shared glimpses of herself enjoying her Caribbean getaway. Through her Instagram post, Osaka showcased glimpses of herself wearing a beautiful yellow dress surrounded by the beach and sand with turquoise waters, a clear sky, and lush green hills in the background. She added, “Caribbean gyal forever 🥰☀️🏝️”
In other pictures, she shared a glimpse of a plate of food, which included rice, a dark patty, a colorful mix of vegetables, broccoli, corn, and shrimp. In her last shot, she shared a highlighted map of the Caribbean islands with a humorous line that indicated a stereotype associated with women from the place. The line read, “IF SHE’S FROM HERE, SHE’S CRAZY BUT WORTH IT.”

Through her earlier Instagram post, Osaka had revealed her thoughts regarding ending her season with the Kinoshita Group Japan Women’s Open, adding, “And that’s a wrap on my year. Great year, everybody. Let’s do it again next year. Maybe a little differently. But yeah, it was fun. See you in Australia.”
While sharing her plans for the next season, Osaka announced that she will be returning to the Australian Open in 2026. In her current season, she had reached the third round at the tournament in Melbourne Park and chose to retire. With this, she registered her most impressive performance in a major since the 2022 Australian Open.
