The Kamuysaurus (Mukawa Dragon) Reconstruction Train (Kiha 40-1706), which began operation on October 2, 2021, will be sadly retired in the spring of 2025. Now, seven years after the Hokkaido Eastern Iburi Earthquake, a new wrapped train, the Kamuysaurus (Mukawa Dragon) Reconstruction Train, will be put into operation as its successor, with the aim of cherishing the story of reconstruction to date, raising momentum for reconstruction that will lead to a new future, and contributing to promoting use of the JR Hidaka Line.

■ Kiha 150 “Kamuysaurus (Mukawa Dragon) Creation Train” Hidaka Line Special Operation
・Operating date: Saturday, November 8th
・Operating section: Hidaka Line (round trip between Tomakomai and Mukawa)
・Operating time: Departs Tomakomai Station at 10:21 and arrives Mukawa Station at 10:51
・Departs Mukawa Station at 11:10 and arrives Tomakomai Station at 11:40
*This will replace the Kiha 40 trains on regular trains.
・Operating vehicle: 1 car

■ Unveiling Ceremony
・Date and time: November 8th (Sat) 10:35-11:10
・Location: Mukawa Station
・Contents: 1. Welcome and farewell photo session with local mayors and Mukaron
② Distribution of commemorative certificates for riding the wrapped train “Kamuysaurus (Mukawa Dragon) Creation Train”
*Even if you are not a passenger, you are welcome to join the meet-and-greet, see-off, and photo session, so please come along.
*Commemorative boarding certificates will be distributed to all passengers on the 10:21am Tomakomai Station and 11:10am Mukawa Station departures.
*In the event of rain, the Mukaron welcome and farewell events and photo session will be cancelled.

■ Ride events
In conjunction with the special operation of the “Kamuysaurus (Mukawa Dragon) Creation Train” on the Hidaka Line, free round-trip tickets will be distributed to 20 Mukawa Town residents.
