Dwight Ramos got the better of fellow Filipino Asian Quota Player Bobby Ray Parks Jr. as the Levanga Hokkaido prevailed over Osaka Evessa in in the 2025-26 Japan B.League on Sunday night.

Ramos powered Levanga with 16 points, four rebounds, and a steal at the Ookini Arena Maishima as the team improved to 8-4—good for third place in the Eastern Division.

His solid outing, however, overshadowed the effort of Parks Jr., who tallied 18 points, four rebounds, and a steal. The loss dragged Osaka down to a 5-7 record, sitting ninth in the Western Division.

The victory also served as a bounce back for Ramos and Levanga after they suffered an 84-69 defeat to Parks and the Evessa on Saturday.

Meanwhile, AJ Edu contributed across the board to help Gunma Crane Thunders scored an 89-82 win over Kiefer Ravena and the Yokohama B-Corsairs at the Openhouse Arena.

The Filipino-Nigerian Edu finished with eight points, four rebounds, three blocks, and a steal as Gunma notched their its sixth win in 12 games to hold the sixth spot in the East.

Ravena tried to rally Yokohama with 14 points, four assists, and two rebounds, but the B-Corsairs dropped their eighth loss in 12 outings to remain in ninth place in the same division.

Francis Lopez’s impressive showing, on the other hand, went for naught as the Fighting Eagles Nagoya faltered to Utsunomiya Brex, 78-88, at the Brex Arena.

Lopez registered a game-high 27 points along with seven rebounds, a steal, and a block, though Nagoya slipped further down the Western Division standings with a 3-9 record—good for 12th place. (AC)
