NEVER work at these companies in Japan

never work here in Japan I was interviewing at some companies and had to leave as soon as they told me how they treat their employees policies like unpaid mandatory overtime working on weekends and holidays and not letting people quit I even had a company say that employees need to pay them when they missw work no matter if it’s an emergency like a train accident or a health issue like it’s already bad enough to not get paid for the day imagine having to hand your boss a crisp one hundo every time you get a flat tire devious absolutely devious people here call these black companies because they’re Infamous for their Shady business practices they target young workers or foreigners because they don’t know better or don’t have resources to fight them and when you try to quit I’ve heard of people getting sued by these companies or blackmailed at their new jobs in retaliation is it legal no does it happen somehow yeah and honestly some of my jobs in the US were just is bad but this is what to look out for in Japan

  1. Btw I’ve been lucky enough to never go further than interviewing with these companies, but almost every person I know here has worked for a “black company” at some point, please feel free to share your stories!

  2. I actually resigned 3 days ago. I worked for the company for 5 months, and I clocked up 160hrs of unpaid overtime. I just couldn't anymore, I was exhausted. Trying to get a new job, but also going to start streaming while I still look for work.

  3. I have to give them credit, they are incredibly successful at one thing. They draw people into their trap by making them dream of lives they would want to live, through the life, culture, and way of living they depict in anime. People only realize the bitter truths when they enter their greedy systems that are full of racism, discrimination, and a complete disregard for human value.

  4. I dont know why people say japanese are so good docile etc. Remember just 80 yrs ago what wreck they created

  5. "Employment" means the worker believes he's free even though he's a ( wage ) slave. The wage covers his basic needs, food, shelter, clothing, so that he can turn up for work. This is world wide.

  6. In the year 1900 , 10% of the people lived in cities, it's now 55%. Come on guys, we love the city life, it beats living in nature anyday.

  7. But they have such the good reputation of having much honor. Lol. Humans are humans no matter if they’re Japanese , or any other nationality. There are bad ones, shady ones and good ones in all nationalities

  8. This happened to me as well at a job in Canada, they tried to implement a policy where employees have to pay them if we are late for work, and the pay they wanted would be higher than what they paid employees(us), which of course, the employees wouldn’t get anyway, since they were late. We also had to buy our uniforms in part

  9. Japan 🇯🇵 had learned about terrible American workplace culture and somehow made it worse. No kidding American workplace culture is awful. (Legally in America, paid days off don't exist.)
