๐ฟ Kobe Nunobiki Herb Garden | Japan Travel Vlog
Kobe is a beautiful port city in western Japan, just 30 minutes from Osaka. Known for its scenic harbor views, cosmopolitan charm, and rich international history weโll start our visit today at its beautiful Herb Gardens. Situated just above Shin-Kobe Station, the Herb Garden is only a five-minute ropeway ride away. Along the way, youโll enjoy panoramic views of the city, the harbor, and Osaka Bay. At the summit stands the Herb House, offering herbal teas, aromatherapy oils, and handmade soaps. As the rain poured outside, we took shelter and enjoyed lunch at the Garden Dining. The Garden Dining was the perfect spot to wait out the rain. Big glass windows, lush greenery all around, and soft music in the background โ it felt so peaceful. Their dishes use fresh herbs from the garden, and everything tasted light and flavorful. A great place to just sit back and enjoy the view. We chose the set lunch for 3,200 yen. It began with eight mini appetizers โ chicken, fish, pork, and plenty of fresh herbs and vegetables from the garden. The main course was roast duck and mushroom risotto โ tender, aromatic, and perfectly balanced with garden-fresh herbs. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted even better โ truly beyond our expectations. Between the top and bottom stations, there are 12 themed gardens with about 75,000 herbs and flowers โ lavender, chamomile, mint, roses, and more. Each spot has its own personality and color. As we wandered downhill through the terraced gardens, the scent of herbs lingered in the cool air. The rain had softened the light, wrapping the mountains in a quiet mist, while the city of Kobe shimmered faintly in the distance. When we arrived at the Mid Station, the rain had finally eased. Right beside the station is a stunning flower garden, where visitors can step onto the terrace and take photos among the blossoms, with Kobeโs cityscape stretching out behind them. Itโs such a breathtaking spot โ truly worth the whole visit. The Kobe Nunobiki Herb Garden turned out to be such a peaceful and beautiful escape โ even with the rain. From the scenic ropeway to the gardens, the views, and the food, it was truly an unforgettable experience. We took the ropeway back down from the Mid Station. In the next episode, weโll explore downtown Kobe โ including Chinatown and the port area at night โ and of course, try the world-famous Kobe beef for dinner.
