🧅 There’s a whole onion in this burger?! 🧅
Did you know Awaji Island in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, is famous for onions? It is the second largest producer of onions in Japan, just behind Hokkaido!
Today, we tried the BBQ chicken pizza and this burger with a WHOLE ONION in it at Craft Kitchen, located in CRAFT CIRCUS on Awaji Island! Of course, that wasn’t enough for us, so we also got a huge tower of onion rings to share. Awaji onions are famous throughout Japan for being milder and sweeter than your usual onion. We bet you’ll be surprised by how sweet an onion can be!
Afterwards, we wandered around the rest of CRAFT CIRCUS in search of the perfect souvenir. Of course there was this curry with a whole onion in it, but did you catch that sparkly ✨ bowl and adorable cat-shaped trash can too?
