Does this german branded instant miso paste need dashi?
Reason im asking is because im worried this might be some unathentic fake crap with a label smacked on it that says miso. Tried making it and it just tastest boring honestly
This isn’t miso; it’s instant miso soup. Yeah, it’s probably not going to taste like much, but it’s already got seaweed in the ingredients. I’d assume using dashi might improve things, but if you had to use dashi it would say it in the instructions, right?

It looks to already include fish powder & seaweed extracts, which a plain miso paste wouldn’t include. It shouldn’t need more dashi. How’d you prepare it?

Did you measure 160ml exactly? It’s a tiny amount and if you put more it’ll be super bland.
