I wanted to share Ayumi Hamasaki's "Bold & Delicious".

This track has a completely different vibe from her usual chart-topping hits.

To be honest, I sometimes feel a bit hurt when some hardcore Ayu fans say things like, "This one didn't sell well," or "People who like this song are strange."However, I absolutely adore it! What I love most are: The cool, funky arrangement that makes you want to groove. Her "Queen" moment in the chorus, where she brings in a powerful gospel choir to sing the main hook. It's one of my all-time favorites, and I think it deserves more love from international J-Pop fans!

Give it a listen.

If you add up all her chart topping hits, this has to be included.

But what people are saying is that it’s really not their favorite or the best one. There’s so much Ayu to enjoy so people gravitate towards whatever they like.

I’m personally not much of a fan of this album, but that’s fine because there are like 7 other ones I do like. Don’t be surprised though, since it’s more of an acquired taste.

What did we get after 2005? Mmmm…we got Next Level and Rock n roll circus. Those were big, but it was already the beginning of the end.

Her hearing was already becoming a problem here and by 2008 she was basically deaf.

It’s nice that people can find all sorts of different stuff of hers to like.

This album was dividing when it came out, but I think an issue was more the singles. Like we had really singles from that year that people really liked like Fairyland, but when the album dropped, the album songs by Sweetbox were not the most well-received and they were a big surprise by the different sounds they had.

Anyway, B&D was a little jarring for me then, but I really loved Pride. Many of the songs on this album are just classics too. Alterna is one of her best songs ever.
