A new, permanent, theater experience based on the iconic Sailor Moon franchise is opening in Tokyo.
The new attraction, titled “Sailor Moon -Shining Theater Shinagawa Tokyo-,” will be a long-running show produced by Nelke Planning.

It will be located inside the Shinagawa Prince Hotel, taking over the “Club eX” venue in the Annex Tower.

This new project is a major “hotel entertainment” venture, aimed at both Japanese fans and the growing number of international tourists visiting Tokyo.
This new theater is the successor to the “Bishōjo Senshi Sailor Moon -Shining Moon Tokyo-” restaurant, which was a popular dinner theater in Azabu-Jūban before its permanent closure in 2020.

The “Shining Theater” will feature an all-new original story, a spectacular live stage show, special cast greetings, and exclusive themed drinks.
The production will be led by a high-profile creative team.
The show’s composition and direction will be handled by Go Ueki, who recently gained acclaim for his work on the Attack on Titan: The Musical.
The script will be written by Shinjiro Kameda, a celebrated writer known for his work on many 2.5D musicals.
Wataru Linda Igarashi, who designed the original “Shining Moon Tokyo” restaurant, will return as the art director.
This collaboration aims to create an immersive experience that combines a high-quality stage production with the “entertainment town” concept of the Shinagawa Prince Hotel.
The “Club eX” venue is a unique, circular hall with a rotating central stage, allowing for a 360-degree viewing experience.

The Sailor Moon franchise continues to be a global powerhouse, with the “Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon” The Super Live” performance show recently completing a 21-city North American tour that drew over 50,000 attendees.
“Sailor Moon -Shining Theater Shinagawa Tokyo-” is scheduled to open in April of 2026.
Tickets for the new show are scheduled to go on sale in early 2026 and will be available for purchase from both within Japan and from overseas.
