the rules for working in Japan have got to be the hardest part of living here cuz what do you mean you can’t leave work until your boss leaves that clock strike six and I’m done I’m out but not in Japan I’ve even heard rumors that the train doesn’t run past midnight so people are forced to go home from work but that’s just a theory a train Theory I’m lucky this isn’t an issue for me but what is an issue business cards cuz I’ve learned there’s an art to giving business cards when you give yours face it towards them hand it over with two hands and do a slight 30Β° back and when they hand you theirs don’t you dare put it away read their name and more importantly their title so you can know where they stand in the hierarchy which will come in handy later when you go out drinking with them when the time comes to do cheers make sure your glass is lower than your bosses or your clients to show that you know you’re lower than them but I kind of do like the rule about getting a free health check through your work every year the exam helped me find out I’m allergic to cats and dogs and houses apparently
