The International Horticultural Exposition (Flower Expo) will be held in Yokohama City in 2027. It is expected to attract over 10 million visitors and is gaining attention as a major international event following the recently concluded Osaka-Kansai Expo, which drew approximately 26 million attendees.
Under the theme of ‘Creating the Scenery of Tomorrow’s Happiness,’ the Flower Expo will promote initiatives such as harmony with nature and coexistence through greenery and agriculture. The event will take place over six months from March to September 2027 at the approximately 100-hectare former Kamiseya Communication Facility (a former U.S. military site) located in western Yokohama.
