Trump is currently on a trip to Asia, arriving in Malaysia on Sunday (26th) and then heading to Japan on Monday (27th), where he will meet with Takaichi on Tuesday (28th). Japanese media outlet Sankei Shimbun reported that Trump and Takaichi will travel together on Marine One, the presidential helicopter, to Yokosuka Naval Base in Kanagawa Prefecture on Tuesday to inspect the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS George Washington docked there.

According to an exclusive report from Fuji Shimbun, Takaichi is considering giving Trump the golf clubs used by the late Prime Minister Shinzo Abe during his visit to Japan. This is also the intention of Abe’s widow, Akie Abe, and Takaichi hopes to replicate the way Abe used golf to cultivate a trusting relationship with Trump.
