
Waldorf Astoria Osaka in Japan is offering the afternoon tea set “Autumn Harvest Palette” from October 1 through November 30.
The sweets lineup includes red velvet cheesecake; an opera cake with roasted chestnut layered over chestnut purée and bittersweet coffee; a Shine Muscat tart showcasing plump, juicy grapes; fig and calamansi Chiboust; and a pistachio and genmaicha (roasted brown rice green tea) macaron léger. Savories feature a truffle-scented seasonal mushroom and smoked salmon millefeuille sandwich; a lobster roll rounded out by creamy avocado and bright tomato acidity; a cornet of WA Oscietra caviar with sour cream; a foie gras and roasted sweet potato bonbon; and a snow crab madeleine.
Two types of scones—smoked pancetta-flavored and honey—are served, along with about 20 varieties of coffee and tea. Add-on options comprise two items: a pear and Amazon cacao coupe, and a wagyu oxtail and matsutake mushroom pot-au-feu.
The venue is Peacock Alley, the lounge & bar on the 29th floor. Service hours are from 11:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The price is 12,000 yen per person, and the two add-on options are 4,000 yen. Advance reservation required by the day before. All prices include tax.
