JAPAN AIRLINES BOEING 777-300ER (Economy) | Tokyo Haneda – Sapporo | Flight Review

Welcome to Tokyo Haneda airport terminal 1 Today we are going to fly to Sapporo on board Japan Airlines biggest aircraft, the Boeing 777-300ER Japan Airlines often uses wide bodies aircrafts on its domestic network but the 777-300ER is a rare sight For check-in, there are a lot of self service kiosks as well as self service baggage check in machines Agents are also available if you have trouble checking in by yourself As you can see the domestic terminal is full of wide bodies jets, the A350-900 being jal’s newest one Japan Airlines operates its fleet of A350-900 only on its domestic network, while the -1000 is used for long haul As we have some time before our flight, let’s visit the Power Lounge And here is our today’s Boeing 777-300ER : JA742J built in 2009 in Everett (USA) This aircraft used to operate only intercontinental flights until it switched a few days ago to flying only domestic Meaning it’s still equiped with a long haul cabin featuring four classes and very large empty galleys At the front is the first class cabin featuring 8 seats followed by a large business class cabin with 49 seats 40 seats of Premium Economy And 147 Economy class seats at the rear, this is where we will be seated for the next hour and a half As always on Japan Airlines the legroom is massive and the seat very comfortable Imagine that this plane used to fly to Paris or New York until it was transfered to domestic flights It’s also why the IFE screen won’t work today as the system was not yet updated for domestic flights We have so much literature in this seat pocket I like airlines who still offer on board magazines featuring their fleet and network Notice that Japan Airlines pushes the attention to detail to the point of showing the true routes taken nowadays by flights between Japan and Europe An other great attention to detail is this map showing the satellite wifi coverage around the world I apreciate that Japan Airlines has the honesty to show how chaotic an actual evacuation can be, It’s the best way to explain why passengers should leave their luggages An other attention to detail is to show how to behave in turbulences and where to grab handles on board This map shows the actual routes taken by domestic flights inside Japan Japan is a avgeek and transport geek country, I am always amazed by it Koriyama Fukushima On this hour and a half flight, a drink is served. I took the warm beef consommé Okama volcano crater lake Sendai Mutsu Notice that these are actual Japanese toilets Those galleys are designed for long haul service and are totally empty on this domestic flight Tomato-Atsuma power station Notice the yellow marking for visibility in snow condition

  1. 这家航空公司细节真的比别人强,我发现地上有个很醒目的东西,应该是要告訴机长,可以做某件事(起飞.滑行.还有几分.鐘可以可飞等等等),我在别的影片没看到这个东西

  2. I love planes & I love trains, in that order, thats why Japan has been a favorite travel destination for me for the last 3 years. You can take an early morning Shinkansen down to Kyoto, Hiroshima, & other points south in the morning, then fly back that evening on a JAL or ANA widebody. best of both worlds
