One of my favorite things about living in Okinawa so far is that there are so many adventures just an hour (or less!) away. ✨

A few weeks ago we checked out Kouri Island 🌴and absolutely loved it. Crystal-clear, calm waters + a designated swimming area made it perfect for the kids. Beach umbrellas already set up for anyone to use! 🙌

We didn’t this time, but saw plenty of jet skis, scuba gear, and other rentals available. And honestly, when you’re adventuring with kids, the little details matter — and this island had it all: convenient bathrooms, shower spots, and easy access. 👏

A short walk from the beach led us to @kourijamijackmani — and I’m going to say it, the best burger we’ve had since moving here. 🍔

Back at the beach, we wrapped up the day at an adorable, covered area near the parking lot with a handful of food stalls. I grabbed a virgin piña colada that tasted like the freshest coconut + pineapple combo ever 🥥🍍Lariah chose an ice cream bar 🍦 Josie went for vanilla ice cream with strawberry topping 🍓 and Bobby grabbed an iced latte for a little caffeine the ride home 😂.

Before heading back, we popped into the market and picked up a watermelon + a few mangos — also did not disappoint.

We will definitely be going again!
