Kyoto’s Famous To-ji Temple Flea Market 🏮✨
You want to buy a traffic light? You want a train on? That’s pretty cool. Right place, right time. We happen to be in Kyoto on the exact day the Toji Temple holds its famous monthly flea markets. It was buzzing with life, stores everywhere, selling antiques, crafts, and street food. I mostly window shopped, but I picked up a beautiful whale postcard from a local artist who was more than happy to pose for the camera. So much color, character, and charm, and definitely one of those magical only in Japan moments.
Right place, right time.
I was in Kyoto on the exact day To-ji Temple held its famous monthly flea market. The grounds were buzzing, stalls selling antiques, handmade crafts, and sizzling street food. I mostly browsed, but couldn’t resist a whale postcard from a local artist (who happily posed for my camera). Colour, character, and that magical, only-in-Japan vibe.
