For a $50 flight from Osaka, this is your sign to visit Okinawa. Save this itinerary. It’s Makojima day 2. It’s one of Okinawa’s 160 islands. But you know what’s cool? You can island hop by car. But how? Start the day by driving on this long ocean bridge. First stop, Makiyama Observatory. 11 out of 10 view. Now cross into this small island for a postcard perfect beach. Even on a cloudy day, the water glows turquoise. How? Now, close by, locals believe that this pond, consisting of two sinkholes, was a portal connecting this world and the afterlife. But you know what shocks me? Every beach we visited hasn’t had more than three people there. White sand and plane launching. Hm. Packed if this was back home. Hungry? You need to try Mako soba noodles. So yummy. After digesting, it’s snorkel time. Yes, free shallow water snorkeling. Time to head back.
