[Music] [Music] [Music] your line is alive. The emperor will have and the family will have no more power. So even today we there is an emperor in Japan. Okay. But more they’re just like figurehead type. They’re kind of like the royal family but even more neutered. Okay. Like just these goofy nerdy type of people who Yeah. just have access to the best food in the in the country cuz they got their own like their specialized farms where they get their own rice from and their own fish from. Of course. Yeah. So it’s it must be a nice life but no one takes them seriously. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. And then uh after the war um Japan was just like, “Okay, well, we need to [Music] I’m [Music] feeling [Music] We are here. So beautiful. This is called the what’s it called, babe? Katanuma swamp. It’s called a swamp. All the swamps I know are dirty. This is super nice. Yeah, it’s Katanuma swamp. And there this is about an hour and a half from our place. You can ride a boat. Um They said we can swim here, but I don’t see anybody swimming. But I see people over there. They are going to paddle board. Oh, no. No. What do you call it? I forgot what it’s called. Says the origin of Katanuma. Katanuma is believed to be a volcanic crater lake ah of the Naruga volcano and is Frenched by Kurumi Gatake Matsugamin and Toia Gamori. I don’t know what those are. The crater lake is 300 306 m above sea level from the surface of the lake is 16.2 m deep at its deepest point. and has an elliptic shape, 450 m at its longest axis, 350 m at its shortest axis and is 1.3 km in circumference. The lake was first formed by a volcanic action of the Naruga volcano. Volcanic action was first recorded in the area in an entry in the Shoku Nihon Koki a historical record covering the 17 years from 833 to 850 in April 837 and it is imagined from this entry the lake was formed 1100 years ago from a topographic from a topographic perspective it is said the lake was formed as a crater with a carved bulllike bottom and small volcanoes around its edges. Oh, however, from a geophysical point, it is also said the lake was formed as a result of molten lava from volcanic activity caused by geomagnetic anomalies centrally around Okatake and Tory daming off the area. Katanuma is known as one of the most acidic lakes in the world and the boiling springs and water bafer that are endlessly discharged from the lake bottom prevent parts of the lake from freezing over. H even during colder times of the year, there is no fish in the lake. However, swarms of insects, Kyonomus shimatsui are common, but do not bite or stain humans. Tradition tells that the lake is owned by a female dragon god and every year on the eve of the doll festival, March 3 can be heard weaving material from the middle of the lake. Katanum is also known as Ryujen Lake or lake of the dragon god. Okay, good to know. [Music] [Music] [Music] So yeah, um we are going to walk towards that side cuz we’re not sure if we can actually swim. So we’re going to go there away from the people and away from the cars. What’s it? It sounds like someone shooting and we’re not sure. So yeah, we’re going to walk there so they can swim. I’m not going to swim cuz swimsuit poes namin and I tried to look for swimsuits. some m department stores near our area or near our house and I couldn’t find one and I think we can swim. She said she swam here, but we cannot see anybody else swimming. And wula pa yung ibang um work nilad. So, we’re just going to get away from people. Audito. It smells of sulfur. Amui rotten egg. But it’s very nice. It’s sunny period. Hang in. Nice. Lo too big. You hear that? No. If you see a bear, run towards it and make sure that I get away. Very friendly. If you So, if you see a bear, keep eye contact and walk. Walk backwards. Backwards slowly. Yeah. If you’re far enough away, just turn and walk away. Okay. Especially non-threatening. Just Yeah. Because like running startles them and then they fight and flight, right? Yeah. [Music] So beautiful. And Matt is over there. I cannot zoom any more closer. That’s That’s the zoomst I can zoom. The kids there is enjoying swimming with um Robert. It’s so quiet here. Sana lang yung shush na. We’re thinking somewhere over there is a driving range. And these are all the people that are here. I put them in the boxes that are arriving hopefully in the this coming week. And I didn’t really think now I’m going to be needing it like in the first month that we are here. But I’m happy just looking at everyone and watching what everyone’s doing and just being here. It’s quite sunny today, but usually initiat but here super it’s super windy and we’re under a little bit of shade and then trees so press init in it. sila. I don’t know. Not me. I’m going to go for a walk since I’m just going to walk along this beach. So earlier Robert was talking about bears area reported bear attacks d so I think it’s not near our house per near m ano magubat area may ano reported bear attacks. So he was saying now if we ever see a bear ano don’t runa par common sense mana don’t run per what you should do d talaga is to like to not lose the eye contact s bear and then started or start started and then start to walk I know backwards slowly ganun para hindi my trigger s bear. And then once you’re far enough from the bear, you can turn around and start walking away. Walking forward now. Hopefully, we wouldn’t have to do that because I don’t think I would be able to keep my calm and just keep my eye contact. I feel like I’m just going to panic and run and shout and get attacked. So, I’m hoping it wouldn’t come to that cuz this is forest now. See, it’s a thick forest. So, most likely me bear Jen. I don’t know. Can bears swim? If I run towards the water, can they follow me? Should know this, but I’m not really sure. What do you call this? Surf stand paddle. There you go. Uh SU stand up paddle boarding. Paddle boarding paramo stand up [Music] na. So, we can try skiing there. Maybe we can try to learn a pag winter now. I’m so happy and excited. By the way, wala palaang entrance to come here. We just drove and parked. That’s it. And my restaurant over there if we want to eat or drink something. But we stopped at Family Mart, so we’re not that hungry. Nice. [Laughter] Look at this stump here. You’d think it’s already dead, but there’s still something growing on it. That’s so cool. Taki, say hello to my drone. Oh, it’s a 360 drone. [Laughter] It works. Hello. Well, yeah. Yeah, that’s fine. I mean generally just feel like [Music] [Music] That smell is coming from this water like [Music] [Music] ridiculous. We are going to head back now. It’s What time is it? Almost 12 lunch time. So initi at least initi. So it’s a really really nice day today. We’re just going to go back so we can still rest for the day. So yeah, if you want to know the origin of this one, it’s right here. It’s got the Japanese and the English version of it. And then if you get hungry, the restaurant is just here there. And you can park your car here. You can walk along the side of the swamp. Um, bring your own mats and chairs or whatnot. There are benches like especially there because that’s a restaurant. There are a couple of benches over there as well, but that’s about it.
