Long ago, the gods cast their spear into the sea, and from the drops that fell from its tip, arose the first sacred island. The gods lived and reveled in their creation. And from their union, this land was born. A land of fire and water. The god sculpted the mountains. Vast, boundless. Its peaks piercing the clouds, breathing smoke and ash into the heavens. A reminder that this land was forged in fire. [Music] [Music] [Music] Please stay away. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Heat. From the peaks, rivers flow, relentless, carving deep gorgees, spilling into emerald valleys, spreading life across the land. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] And where the rivers meet the sea, Tory gates rise crimson against the blue, marking the border between this world and the next. The winds crown the mountains. The rivers shape the earth. The sea holds the horizon. And in their harmony, the gods remain eternal. [Music] Heat up here. Heat up [Music]

Inspired by Shinto mythology, this short film explores the timeless beauty of Kyushu’s nature and ancient origins.
