The Malaysia Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, has concluded its six-month run with RM24.45 billion in potential trade and investment, according to the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI).

The Pavilion attracted 3.51 million visitors, surpassing its original goal of 1.5 million. It featured 461 Malaysian companies from key industries including Green Technology, Construction and Professional Services, Chemical and Chemical Products, ICT and Services and Halal Products and Services.

During the Expo, a total of 1,555 business meetings were conducted, translating into RM5.62 billion in potential exports and RM12.79 billion in potential investments. Deals worth RM6.04 billion were also recorded through more than 70 Memoranda of Understanding, Agreements and Cooperation signed between Malaysian entities and international partners. MITI will continue to monitor and follow up on these leads in coordination with relevant stakeholders.

The Malaysia Pavilion spanned 2,654.52 square metres across three floors and was designed by Japanese architect Kengo Kuma. Under the theme “Weaving a Future in Harmony”, it highlighted Malaysia’s cultural heritage and commitment to innovation, serving as a platform for business matching, forums, summits and networking events.

The Pavilion’s official closing was marked by the singing of the national anthem, Negaraku, led by Dato’ Hairil Yahri Yaacob, Secretary General of MITI and Commissioner General for Malaysia at Expo 2025 Osaka.
