I Took a Bullet Train for a FREE Breakfast in Japan
Did you know in Maya you only get three prank bursts all day with a cup of drink? Today I’ll show you legendary cafe called Rion. Let’s go inside. This is Cafe Rian, one of the most famous cafes in Nagagoya. It opened in the 1970s and has been serving morning sets for more than 50 years. In Nagagoya, many cafes give free breakfast with a drink, but only in the morning. Rion is special because they serve morning sets all day. Many locals come here before work and even on weekends. You can see a long line. Okay, I just ordered a cup of hot cocoa and look at this toast boiled egg blueberry jam. All flavor with my drink. Amazing, right? [Music] The cocoa was warm, sweet, and had such a nostalgic taste. It is the kind of drink that makes my heart feel cozy. [Music] How thick it is [Music] in Japanese cafes. You often see thick slices of toast like this. There are many reasons to give you a sense of satisfaction and also to make breakfast feel a little special and luxurious. The bread is soft. The butter is melting so nicely. The boiled egg is very simple but full of nutrition. There is usually salt on the table. So I add a little bit of it and eat it. Now let me explain more about the system where black fruit comes free with your drink. You can choose from variety of drinks. Coffee, tea, cafe latte, soda, fresh fruit juice and so on. I ordered set A, but they also have hot sandwiches with fillings like fluts, potato salad or peanut butter. All look amazing. If you pay a little extra with your drink, you can upgrade to options like salad, hot dogs, or fancier sandwiches, and even hamburgers. I was especially curious about the curry and egg sandwich. I wonder how it tastes. By the way, what do you imagine when you think about Japanese breakfast? Maybe rice, grilled fish, and miso soup. Traditionally that was the standard but today people are divided into rice people and bread people. Rice takes more time to cook. So many people choose bread and coffee instead. I grew up as a bread person but nowadays I eat yogurt cereals and fruits. In Tokyo you can also find breakfast sets but usually they are not free like here in Nagua. Actually, one of my favorite things on my morning live streams is hunting for black spots. I’ve had pancakes, delicious scrambled eggs, and sausages at family restaurants like Gusto or Dennis. And honestly, even McDonald’s ski muffin, moo muffin was one of my favorites. In the middle of all this, Naga’s morning service is very unique. It’s like a Japanese cafe store breakfast that has evolved in a special way. Ordinary for locals, but a surprising experience for travelers. Back at Rion, I was still hungry since I came all the way to Nagua from Tokyo. I decided to order something extra. Oh my god. Now this is very famous in Nawa called Oula toast. Cool of red beans paste. Very thick one is on top of the thick toast. I don’t know if I can face it, but let’s eat it. It’s heavy. Very heavy. [Music] Sweet and salty together. It’s my favorite. So good. [Music] Let me tell you the origin of what many now call Agura toast. It all started in Nagua in a cafe called Matsuba or Mitsuba around 1920s. The cafe owner saw customers dip bean toast in zenzai sweet red bean soup and got the idea to put auki bein paste on toast with the butter that became agura toast. Thick toasted bread butter and sweet red beans paste. It’s slowly spread across Naga’s cafe culture especially as part of the morning set. Also here at ron I realized something. It’s not just about free food. It’s the atmosphere, the retro furniture, the cozy lighting, the friendly stuff, and people just enjoying their own time. It feels like a place where you can sit for hours chatting, reading, or just relaxing. Nagagoya is located between Tokyo and Osaka. It’s sometimes called Japan’s third city. It’s a really fun mix of old streets, busy modern life, and futuristic buildings. And the morning service tradition started back in the 1950s when cafe wanted to attract more customers by giving free toast and eggs with coffee. That simple idea turned into one of Nagua’s most unique traditions. So, if you ever come to Japan, you have to try a Nagua morning set. It’s tasty. It’s unique. And honestly, it’s a perfect way to start your day. Ah, that was a great meal. Obviously, I couldn’t finish them all, so I took away some of them. I think you should visit Rion when you come to Naguya. You can get three breakfast all day long. So, that’s fantastic. I hope you enjoyed this video. Please hit like button and subscribe if you liked this video. Thank you so much for watching until the end and see you next time. High five. I’m excited to finish them up. The egg is simple but very tasty. [Music] This is real Nagagoya style breakfast. [Music] But Rian is the must place to visit. M place to visit. So I took away took out took away Thank you. [Applause] [Music]
Nagoya is famous for its “Morning Service” culture — cafés offering free breakfast sets with just one drink order!☕🍞
It’s not just toast — you can get side dishes, eggs, salads, and more, all for free. 🤩
As a breakfast and coffee lover who’s visited many spots during my livestreams, I took the Shinkansen all the way from Tokyo to experience this for myself… and it was totally worth it! 🚅✨
If you love discovering unique Japanese food culture, you’ll love this one. 🇯🇵

Very intressting video Yukapiyo, i think breakfast is the most important meal of the day. 🥰☺
Hey yuka I encourage you make longer videos like 15:min because you do a very good job..
Good morning Yuka. You shouldn’t apologize for your little English mistakes. English is not your native language(mother tongue). Mistakes are going to happen once in awhile, specially in a country that only 10% of the population can speak English. You are not speaking it all the time in conversation. Thank you for very much for learning English. Foreigners see English everywhere. Not knowing that it’s “Decoration English”. Seeing English everywhere after WW2. The Japanese adopted it for everywhere & everything. Over 75% of it doesn’t make sense. I watch a lot of YouTube videos from Nihon/Japan. Both in English & Japanese. Almost 10 years later. I’ve only learned a few words of Japanese. I learned from Rachel & Jun channel about how hard it is about the letters L and R really can be trick for the Japanese not catching the difference. Even Sherry @SherryBerry or even Tokyo Lens. Norn is a native speaker & forget or pronounce words wrong. It’s going to happen. We are all human. Thank you once again & for another great video. It looks so delicious. I’m looking forward to seeing your next live stream. By the way the blooper outtakes were real Kawaii & I love to see more of them. It’s beautiful. Take care. Peace Out from Toronto Canada 🇨🇦✌️❤🇯🇵❤️🦆❤️
Looks delicious, definitely trying this Breakfast when I come to Japan, Love you Yuka-Cutie Chan.
We were pleasantly surprised when we were in Nagoya and went for breakfast and realised they had toast with Anko bean. We only found out later it was a Nagayo thing, originally we though it was a western twist.
You can't beat a free breakfast anywhere. It looks so good. Good Breakfast with a Good Vibe. Love It ❤❤ Yuka , that was a funny moment at the end of your video. Love it ❤❤
Sending you much love 🙏🙏
Hi Yuka🐣, You introduced many breakfast choices during your livestream. However, 4:05 Riyon’s Ogura Toast (小倉トースト)🍞 is a particularly delicious option.😋 Its sweet flavor creates an extraordinarily delightful morning.🌞 名古屋 愛知 Clips of bloopers🎬, including camera mishaps📹, a sneeze🤧, and some "Engrish”,💬 made the outro hilarious🤣 and full of surprises. Thank you for creating and sharing the well-edited video. 😊
Awesome and Sugoi Premiere as always Yukapiyo Nakamoto Chan 🦆🔥 and looking always beautiful too ne this place looks nice and love breakfast as well. It is a important meal for every morning. Kiotsukete Ne Yukapiyo Chan 🦆🔥
I would like to have a traditional Japanese breakfast in the morning, because it's much healthier than a European breakfast with bread and cereals. Unfortunately, fresh fish like salmon is expensive here, and yes, rice takes a long time to cook. But that Nagoya Morning Set looks really yummy!
Very interesting, Yuka. I'll definitely try a breakfast set if I visit Nagoya.
Thank you for the video
cool….schönes video….gefällt mir gut….🙃😉😘😋🤫🖤🤍🖤🙏🐣🐤🐥🌹
Interesting, the evolution of breakfast.
Japanese breakfast is free and trains offer it. More proof that Japan is living in 2050.
