$65 Ferry Journey with Buffet! Oita → Kobe on Sunflower Pearl 🚢
This video is… Hello everyone 👋 This is Taiyaki 🐟 Do you know where I am? The answer is Oita Station. This is what it looks like around Oita Station. It’s my first time here, but it feels pretty developed. Today, I’ll be taking a ferry to Kansai. The nearest station to the port is Nishi-Oita Station, just one stop away from Oita Station. It’s close from here. Bye bye, Oita. W-what is that?? At first, I thought it was just a person riding a bicycle normally, but it had no head and I was shocked. Maybe it’s some kind of art work? Oita is wild! Arrived at Nishi-Oita Station. There are a lot of containers around, giving it a unique atmosphere. On this channel, I upload travel-related videos such as ferries, buses, and hotels, so please subscribe to the channel!🙏 This is my first time at this station, but it’s a nice countryside-style station. When you exit the station building, you can see the sea in the distance. There’s a sign that says “Ferry Terminal.” It’s about a 10-minute walk to the ferry terminal from here. 😳 A naked woman statue along the road! That’s the kind of statue feminists might get upset about. 🤭 Lots of megaphones. So mysterious. By the way, near the ferry terminal you’ll find a convenience store and a McDonald’s. But, there’s not much else. Oh! I can see the ferry now. Is this today’s ferry? Hehe. Being surrounded by dogs makes me feel like I’m also a dog. Arrived at the terminal! This is today’s ferry, the Sunflower “Pearl.” The cars are already boarding. Alright, let’s go inside! It’s pretty small inside. This time, I reserved a special campaign ticket—only 10,000 yen! And it even includes dinner and breakfast. Lucky me! This is what the waiting area looks like. There are vending machines. There are also a few outlets. The doors opened. Looks like boarding is about to begin. Finally, it’s time to board. My room this time is a capsule room. Here’s my room. This music is pretty good, huh? The inside of the room. The pillow has proper bounce. It’s low. Bed sheet. Comforter. The mattress isn’t very thick, but considering the price, it’s enough. There’s a hanger and a hook. One power outlet. This is the air vent. If you turn it, it opens and lets in air. Even though it’s a cheap room, it comes with amenities. Earphones, a toothbrush, and a towel. The towel is thin, but it has a logo on it, so it’s nice 👍 By the way, there are 10 more capsule rooms like this. Here’s the changing space. Lockers. They’re quite deep inside so you can store a lot. The 100 yen deposit gets refunded. There was a constellation posted outside the room. Things like this are fun, and really a wonderful service. Before departure, I’ll have dinner at the restaurant. Normally, it costs 2000 yen for adults. Here’s the atmosphere of the restaurant. The variety isn’t huge, but the quality is good. Here’s my harvest today. Maybe I took a little too much. Eating on the ocean = the Best. The miso soup is full of ingredients and delicious. This is “Ryukyu,” the dish mentioned in the train announcement in my previous video. I got to eat it on the ferry by chance, and it was so good! Dessert. Cherry on top. Personally, I was very satisfied with this meal. The menu might change depending on the day, but based on today’s selection, I can definitely recommend it! It’s almost departure time. Isn’t it exciting to see something this big moving? lol 👋 Now begins a 10-hour journey to Kobe. It’s dark so it’s hard to see, but there are rooms here with terrace seating. Nice! I can see lights in the distance. That might be the city of Beppu? There are a lot of lights. Lights out. Taking a bath before bed. Of course, I can’t film there, so I’ll show official site images instead. They provide shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. Towels are not provided, so you need to bring your own or buy one at the shop. In the room’s TV, you can’t hear the sound unless you plug in earphones. This way, you can’t hear sounds from other rooms either, which I think is a good system. Wi-Fi is available on board, but it didn’t work inside my room 😢 The room’s ceiling is low enough that I can reach it with my hand. The width isn’t cramped, but it’s not that spacious either. Good morning ☀️ It’s time for a morning tour of the ship. This is the ship’s entrance, where I first came in. My room is on this upper floor. It’s closed at this time, but here’s the shop. When it’s open, it looks like this. Card payments accepted. Next to it is the vending machine area. They have cup noodles and ice cream too. There’s alcohol as well, but sales are time-limited. Game corner. Even a giant MyakuMyaku prize lol. Old coin gachapon. The game corner has lots of interesting prizes. This is the restaurant. Breakfast is 700 yen for adults. You can also take out udon for 500 yen. Opening hours. A mysterious room called “Salon.” Water dispenser and microwave. Heading to the 6th floor. There are massage chairs here. 200 yen for 15 minutes. Beyond this point are the “with-pet” rooms. Looks like the pets are staying in better rooms than I am lol Here’s the large public bath (for men and women) I mentioned earlier. Opening hours. Restroom. Nice and clean. The lid does not open automatically, but it does have a washlet. Private shower rooms. Showers are available 24 hours. There are vending machines on this floor too. This vending machine is running a campaign where you can get a free drink. A Pepsi with MyakuMyaku design. I tried it, and a free drink really came out! However, the design doesn’t really feel like MyakuMyaku. 😢 Another microwave here. This machine lets you print a spare QR code key for the room. Smoking area. Oof, smoky. Here you can pour hot water. Heading to the 7th floor. This floor seems to only have guest rooms. I think these are the most expensive deluxe rooms. They even have a toilet, shower, and terrace. Really nice. Looks like you can also go outside from the 7th floor. It’s pitch black so I can’t see anything, but I can hear the sound of the ocean. Since I can’t see anything, I’ll go back inside. There are ships with Japanese-style tatami rooms too 😳 I want to stay in one! I’ll keep working hard on YouTube 👍 Hehe, worked well. The restaurant just opened. They even had natto. Satsuma-age with the Sunflower logo. Breakfast buffet didn’t have a huge variety, but it was tasty. Coffee after breakfast. Morning sunrise. Here’s the deluxe room I just mentioned earlier. Spotted a stink bug. Did it fly in? Or did it board back in Oita? Never know. I can see the city. We’re almost in Kobe. Today’s socks. I slept really well in this room. The people around me were quiet, so it was comfortable. Considering the price, the satisfaction level was high! Kobe Port. After arriving in Kobe, I’ll take the connecting bus to the nearest station. You can ride for free to the next station, “Island Kitaguchi.” The bus gets quite crowded. Other than the bus, there are also taxis. It stops at stations where you can transfer to JR, Hanshin, and Hankyu, so it’s convenient. The fare is 230 yen. You can pay with a transportation IC card. Thanks, bus 👋 That’s it for this video. Until the next video, I wish you all the best! Eat vegetables!٩( ᐛ )و
