JAPAN VLOG! [Day 9] – Our Trip To Osaka

All right, welcome to day nine of this man vlog. Today we are on a Shin Kamsan heading to Osaga. We finally got on the right train. The only downside is we can’t sit down because it is so busy here in the non reserve seats. So we’re standing in the doorway and between the carriages beautiful day. We’re going to be able to see Mount Fuji. Going to be able to shoot straight out this window. If not, I’m going to go into the smoking room and shoot out that window as well. So it’s going to be hatching probably a better situation. This is going to be great. this video. [Music] Heat. [Music] This is the train line. We start here and you all the way down. He’s better than driving as you can see like that. [Music] So, we’re in Nagoya and even these cities that are super far away from the big metropolitan of Tokyo, they’re still built up so high like skyscrapers everywhere in these big cities. [Music] And we’ve made it to Shinosaka. Now, we got one more train to get to Osaka and then we can start our day. I’m not sure what we’re going to do. We’re going to go to the Osaka Castle. That’s going to be so sick. And we’re going to shop. Shinoaka and Osaka station. Two completely different stations. We got to get on another train to go into Mosaka. So this isn’t Osaka station. Travel tips, baby. This JR pass has saved us so much effort, which has been killer. Too bad they’re going up to about 550 now, but still worth it if you’re going to travel on the Shinkansen. Just in and you’re through and done. No issues. Otherwise, you’re lining up consistently like that all the time for a ticket or in the big long lines in the uh Shinkansen Jr. shops. Yum. Like Japan has a statue for like everything that big. We are in Osaka. Believe it or not, we are over 500 km from where we first started this morning in Tokyo, which is incredible. It doesn’t seem like that far because you get so quick, but we are over 500 km. So, completely different region. Can’t wait to uh get into it. Uh see how different it is down here in the south compared to up in the Tokyo area. So, let’s start our day here in Osaka. Day for it, boys. I bought a wild turkey highball. 8 12%. It’s turkey and soda. It was $210. Very strong and it’s average. That’s hella nice. How’s a turkey? Believe it or not, lads, we’re going to go to our fifth Pokémon Center of the trip. Osaka Pokémon Center. We came to Osaka. We have no idea what we’re doing. We sort of winging it. So, we’re working it as we go. There’s the Santoi building. Might walk in there and shake their hands, honestly. So again, this Pokémon Center, this is our fifth one in Osaka. Now it’s next to the Nintendo store, next to the One Piece store as well. So there’s heaps going on. So I’ll show you guys. This may be bigger than the mega center. Like this is massive. [Music] It’s not Bulbasaur. I wasn’t going to say that. It’s Venusaur, which is an evolution of Venusaur. Good job. This is the statue for the Osaka Pokémon Center. This one also has a place where you can play the card game as well. It’s lally once you enter off the escalator, you’re straight into the store, which is sick. It’s literally got more choice here than any of them. We’ve never seen a Gyarados rush at any of the other stores. Millie’s found a favorite, I think. the coolest Pokemon of all time. Like, it is the coolest Pokémon of all time. Do you know his name? Um, yeah. This Pokémon Center has all the generations, like all the starters. This is unreal. And that is another Pokémon Center completed. We’ve pretty much done most of them. We’re getting a little gift for my sister. This one looks even more open as well. Looks really, really good. Look at the chocolate. Oh my goodness. Look at the size of that teddy. Cat bump. Wow. Goodness me, dude. This is a toy shop dedicated to trains. That’s pretty cool. [Music] Keep dog. Bye-bye. But that is our Pokemon Mula and Nintendo cartoons. Sat down for lunch in an Italian restaurant here in Osaka. So Italian in Japan. It’s tiring walking around. So much walking in the last 10 days. This is crazy. I see. I see. What do you reckon? Pesto tomato. Like that one. Mozzarella. You get to cut it yourself, which is probably dangerous, but like still sick. We’re currently in like a gaming shop and it is the whole floor. Look how far this thing goes. That’s like 100 m long of gaming. Like what the a sim rig for Mario Kart. Look at this. Wow. There is stuff you would never ever see in Australia. You That’s a fishing rod. Get a fishing rod. Island. Actually incredible. No matter what you like, I feel like Japan has it. Whether you’re a gamer, whether you’re indie anime or mangas or technology or genuinely just food and stuff, it has literally everything. Luckily, I like all those things. So, it’s been an unbelievable experience for me. Millie doesn’t really know much about all this stuff, but like once you come here and get embraced in it, I think you learn so much and sort of start falling in love with it just because you can see everyone around you is so passionate about it as well. Look how big it is. It’s absolutely massive. Look at the design on the building. This is a train station, I think, or a shopping plaza. I know. Beautiful night. Absolutely. before we head back to Tokyo for our last night here. We’re going to go to the Osaka Castle, which is going to be so sick. So, we’re going to get there before the sun goes down. Could not have asked for a better evening. Really, this will be one of the last things we do here in Japan before we fly out tomorrow night. Just a whole day to get through tomorrow, but it’s going to be quite chill compared to the last 10 days. So, we’ve got to walk about 1.8ks now to get to the castle and then we’re going to get some really cool content and then we’ll be back on the train back to Tokyo straight to bed. Let’s go. You can see it. It’s massive. That is absolutely incredible. Look at that, man. That is unbelievable. Here we are. It’s a very big walk. It’s actually quite the journey to get to this castle. It’s going to be so worth it. [Music] We’re at the base of the castle now. I’ve got some absolute bangers of the castle on this. I’ll pop some on screen after now. All right. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Wow. You also get the view of the city in the gardens. It’s unbelievable. Just reading up about a time capsule they put in here. They put it in the ground in what, 1970 or something like that. Wow. They will not open this until 6970. And it’s right there. That’s the upper one. Oh my gosh. And the lower one. That’s It’s like a full It’s not just like a little box. It’s like a full bunker full of stuff. So yeah, the upper one here, they’ll open every century. And then the bottom one 6970. That is just So that is All right. Now it is time to head back to the Shinkansen to get back to Tokyo. We’ve got to get there before the last train, which is about 9:00. It’s only 5:30 or something like that. So, we got plenty of time, but we’re going to end today’s video here. This might be the end of the Japan vlog. Thank you for watching all the way through and um see you guys next time. [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] Heat.

In Day 9, we leave Tokyo and make our way down to Osaka — Japan’s vibrant food and culture capital! 🍜✨

We travel on the Shinkansen (bullet train), which is an experience in itself, and even catch a stunning view of Mount Fuji along the way (sadly, no snow caps this time!). 🚅🏔️

Once in Osaka, we explore the Pokémon Center ⚡, One Piece Mugiwara Store ☠️, and Nintendo Osaka 🎮, before wrapping up the day at the incredible Osaka Castle 🏯 — one of Japan’s most famous landmarks.

This was our last journey for the 2023 trip.

Thank you for watching.
