Buckle up because this is everything I ate on my first day in Japan. Let’s go. We woke up in Kyoto and we went to the vending machines to get these coffees. Now, we’ve learned that if it says fire, it means you’re meant to heat it up and we did not. So, it was just okay. But that’s totally fine because we were hoping for another coffee anyway. So, we got lattes from Eight Blackbirds Cafe and these toasts. It was basically like brios steaming hot drenched in butter. I mean, how could you possibly not love this? Then we went to Sanaka and I got these fresh grapes. I’ve heard that it’s really easy to forget about fiber here, so I’m going to try my best. Then we saw the beautiful Kio Mizadera Temple. It was so green and luscious. It must have got us in the mood for this pickle. But actually, neither of us were a fan. This is the only thing in the whole day that I could not finish. But next door, there was a mochi place with a bunch of these free samples. I just love anything with matcha and red beans. And now for lunch, we went to this conveyor belt sushi place. This place was magical. So overwhelming at first because there are so many options right in front of you. But you just got to go slow, take your time, and enjoy each bite. And also enjoy the fun new textures of fish you’ve never tried. Now we’re back on our fiber and we’re getting smoothies at 7-Eleven. These machines are so cool. We also got a mochi donut, which we did not expect to actually have the texture of mochi. It grew on me, but like I prefer a donut donut. Around dinner time, we did a night tour of Gon. Very cool. I recommend. And it ended right next to this guoza place that we really wanted to try. I just love how so many Japanese restaurants focus on one thing, like it’s gyoza or ramen or udon or whatever. You just know it’s going to slap. And of course, we have to end the night on a sweet treat. So, we got this soft serve ice cream. It was heavenly. We will not be skipping dessert here,
