As expected, bantamweight standouts Tenshin Nasukawa and Takuma Inoue will meet for Junto Nakatani’s fresly vacated WBC bantamweight title on November 24th in Tokyo.
Nasukawa (7-0, 2 KO) made his professional kickboxing debut at 15 years old and spent the next eight years cementing himself as one of the greatest competitors of the modern era, racking up 42 wins and zero losses against the likes of Wanchalong PK.Saenchai, Rodtang Jitmuangnon, Suakim Sor.Jor.Tongprajin, and finally chief rival Takeru Segawa in his 2022 farewell bout.
Less than two years after switching to boxing full-time, he cruised past Jason Moloney to claim his biggest victory in the sport, then dominated Victor Santillan four months later. His third fight of 2025 pits him against a very capable foe in former champion Inoue (20-2, 5 KO), who lacks his brother’s crushing power and fell short against the nonstop onslaught of Seiya Tsutsumi last October but remains one of the top bantamweights of the post-Nakatani era.
The bout airs on Amazon Prime in Japan; no word yet as to viewing options for us gaijin.
