Reuters reported that US and Japanese officials are making arrangements for US President Donald Trump to visit Japan in October.
The report is based on sources, including government officials. They said the visit to Japan is expected to take place before the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit. The APEC meeting starts in late October in South Korea.
It would be the first time for Trump to meet the successor to Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru, who is stepping down.
But the report also said, “plans could change.”
