OUR FIRST TIME in JAPAN π―π΅ OSAKA Surprised Us!
Heat. Heat. N. [Music] Heat. Heat. N. [Music] [Applause] [Music] We’re in Japan. [Music] Yes, we’re trying. [Music] All right, guys. So, Lily is literally falling asleep. We both are. Honestly, this will conclude our first travel day. Okay, we’re going to be here for the next like 18 days or something. This is going to be the biggest trip of our lives. Of our lives. Smash that. See you tomorrow. This is our train station. All right. If you’re traveling to Japan, the Sua app is the best and easiest way to ride the trains around Japan. All you need to do is go into your Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, search up in the metro section, and then there you go. You can add money to it. I’m not going to lie, I wish I knew this earlier because when we first traveled to the train station, we were super confused on if we had to buy a ticket at the stand or how we would do it. This is probably the most confusing train station I’ve ever been in in my life. It’s like all underground. You have to navigate through different exits and I think we just found ours. But it is super confusing and it takes some time I think to just learn how the tickets work and like all that stuff. So [Music] found our exit. Yay. We’re free. We can look. This is our breakfast spot. Here we go. [Music] All right, so we just finished up breakfast and now we’re headed on the subway. We’re going to the Osaka Castle. We’re taking the subway. Super quick and easy way to get around. Made it. Solving problems in real life feels good. So, I guess what I didn’t realize that I was doing is there’s a separate when you’re going into the train, you tap and then when you get out to your destination, you tap to get out. That’s how it knows how much to charge you. And I didn’t really look at any videos or know how to do that. So, probably should have did some research. It would have saved me some time and a little stress cuz we almost missed the train, but we didn’t. And now we’re going to the castle. [Music] I am sweating. It is very hot outside. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] So, we’re walking through the city and I think we’re actually in the most wealthy spot right now because we just saw Rolls-Royce. Everything is just kind of like a next level of nice, I would say. So, it’s really cool to see the different areas of Osaka. We’re in Nagurabashi. There’s tons of different like sub areas in the city of Osaka. It’s a pretty pretty big city, I would say. I like how the gas pumps are in the air right here. Wasn’t too recent that I accidentally drove off with one of those in my car after I finished pumping. And it has a safety feature where you can break it off. And that was probably probably one of the dumbest things I’ve ever done. For how many people there are here, I’m just blown away. Obviously, a lot of places in Japan are like this. Just how clean and quiet the streets are for being such a busy city. Wow. Everyone just kind of goes about their business and goes on with their day. It’s nice. We go to the camera store. For any camera junkies out there, look at these old cameras. Wow. They have like every single camera in here and I want them all. It’s all like Fujif film. Like these are so nice. All these. All right, we’re in the main shopping district. It’s pretty busy. Tons of shopping. So many stores around here. I guess I’m behind on trends cuz I don’t really know what this is. But seems cool. I didn’t know what it was before your mom told me. Well, I’ve seen them, but I just Everyone’s wearing them. Okay, guys. I got the Oni Suka Tigers. I got the classic Mexico 66 version. And I got this navy cuz I figured I’d actually wear this a lot. I had seen them all over Pinterest, but it never occurred to me that you can really only get them in Japan for like a cheap price cuz they make them here. Like you can buy them on like shoe websites online, but they’re like $300. So I got these for 99 and I’m really happy. [Music] We just walked from Shin Sabahi over to uh downtown Bori and we’re probably going to go get some food and just putts around. Yeah, boxing. [Music] There’s tons of restaurants. So many actually. And we’re pretty much just walking the strip and we’re gonna find something to eat right now. So I think Don Bore is known for their games, arcades, and all that stuff. So we just found a really thick one. This is so cool. And it’s air conditioning. I want to win something. Okay, I got candy strawberries because I always see people get them. Um, and they’re like videos here. So, let’s try it. What’s this place? I don’t know. Just look for like candy strawberries on the side of the stream. They have them like everywhere. [Music] We just found out this is called Chanhulu. I just thought it was called candy covered strawberries. All right, guys. So, we’re going to pretty much the highest reviewed udon bowl in Osaka. We have no idea if it’s going to be good or not. We’re just going to try it either way. [Music] I got the wagon. It looks so good. And it was only 12 bucks. All right, guys. So, just wrapped up that Wagu udon. It was so good. And now we’re headed into a owl cafe. Let’s go. All right, let’s go. [Music] There are so many owls in here. [Music] Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. All right, guys. We’re at Wagu Etadon in Osaka. Here’s our spread. We’re continuing the food tour today. Everything looks so good. So far, food has been incredible. Out of this world. I think it’s crazy that there’s steak just like sushi. I mean, it’s just steak. Oh, just steak. I spit out if it’s not. It’s steak. Oh, well, I like it then. Took forever. I know. That place was so good. And I love how you don’t have to tip around here. So, that all of that was only $37. And we got Wagu beef, we got beers, and now we’re back out. We’re going to go find some dessert. We love Osaka. We don’t want to leave. We’re happy to be here for the next 2 days. It’s been a great experience so far. What a great introduction to Japan. So, we’ve been here for a while now. Pretty much since like the mid afternoon. Yeah. Like 1. And I feel like this place is a whole different vibe at night. [Music] Hello everyone. So, we finally finally showered. We got clean. We feel so much better and we’re absolutely exhausted. It’s toast. It’s 9:00 and I can barely function. I’m just happy that we’re clean. We had we had honestly the best day today. Like I think today fulfilled my whole trip and we have 17 days left to go. In good spirit, we’re actually going to kind of talk about what we loved most about the day cuz I actually kept a tab of like some running thoughts that we had about Osaka. Maybe anybody out there still watching this can resonate with them. First, Osaka is a very clean and quiet city. I was surprised how clean and quiet it was for how many people were around there. Actually, nobody jaywalks. I uh really didn’t see anybody like crossing the street unless that sign was on. I also love how they make room for people that are in a hurry. Like if you’re on the escalator or something, they move over to the right. And I just like love that. I think that’s so awesome. Oh, and the attention to detail is just so good. like with the little mini yogurts and they just are so like thoughtful with everything they do and I did not have one bad meal today. How about you? Same. I told Dylan earlier I was like everything we ate it’s like exactly how I wanted it to taste, like exactly how I like it. And often times I find myself like back home trying things and it’s like not exactly how I wanted it at all. So, I was really pleasantly surprised. Well, I wasn’t surprised. I’ve heard great things, but it lived up to the my expectations. And then, yeah, it was great. We have 17 more daily vlogs coming.
