LilliLandia Games is taking aim at the cosy game genre with its new title, Animula Nook. The game offers a fantasy life simulation, set in the Lilliputian world, blending whimsical characters with rich, interactive environments.

The art style is inspired by modern cartoons. In Animula Nook, everyday objects will be transformed into fantastical landscapes, with the players acting like tiny explorers in a Giant’s world. Throughout the game, you’ll gather resources and build up your own homestead. From there, you’ll be collecting natural resources like raindrops and wind to help with crafting and growing your own farm crops.

In this tiny world, sunlight, raindrops, gentle breezes — even forgotten scents — become precious materials waiting to be discovered. Coins, buttons, and other small wonders are scattered throughout the land, each one not just a resource, but a lost treasure waiting for a new purpose. When it is time to start building, you’ll have an inuitive set of tools at your disposal to bring your blueprints to life.

Like we’ve seen in games like Stardew Valley, social sim elements will also play a big role here. You’ll meet a delightful cast of residents, from tiny humanoids to whimsical beings. You will be able to exchange gifts and deepen bonds with your neighbours over time.

Animula Nook will make its first appearance at the Tokyo Game Show this week, taking place from September 25th to 28th. The game is already up for wishlisting on Steam, Epic Games Store and the PlayStation Store. The game is also planned for Nintendo Switch 2 and Mac.

KitGuru Says: If you were a fan of Stardew Valley, then Animula Nook should be up your alley.
