Mizno Hotel: Mt. Fuji Hotel Review: Lake Kawaguchiko, Japan

[Music] [Music] [Music] We are here at the Hotel Miso in Kawaguchi, Japan. This is Lake Kawaguchi. That is Mount Fuji. This is the first time we’ve seen this mountain pop out all day. It really is hit or miss, but I’m going to show you a little bit around this hotel, kind of um what to look for and why having a hotel with a view is really the best thing you can do when you are here visiting Mount Fuji. We are here at the Hotel Mis now. Uh right outside Mount Fuji. Actually, we’re at Mount Fuji. And this is kind of amazing. We just got here. Let’s see. Coffees. Wow. Part of the point of this hotel, I was looking for a good place that had a Mount Fuji view. Look at this. That’s Mount Fuji right there. Maybe we’ll be able to see it at some point. Um, [Music] I didn’t use the bathroom. Go in the bathroom yet. Let me Let me [Music] push. [Music] Wow. Actually, one of the larger bathrooms. Oh, no. shower has its own little door. That’s crazy, huh? Little light in the shower. I’m not used to that. All right. Okay, cool. Not a bad little room. It’s kind of been raining all day, so that’s why it’s all wet. Hopefully, this dries out just a little bit so we can sit out here. This your view from the bed. Holy cow, that beautiful. Hotel Misno was built in 1963 and is located on a hillside overlooking Lake Kawaguchiko with views of Mount Fuji. I chose this hotel specifically for the view it offered of the mountain, but it really was so much more. You can see there I can see it. The hotel underwent a complete renovation in 2017 and offers a unique French chateau inspired design in his lobby with European art and comfortable furnishings. [Music] Oh, I see there’s a different room. That scared me. Literally, it’s a mirror. The hotel also has a full restaurant, lobby, bar, public baths, and a private rooftop onen with views of Mount Fuji. [Music] All right. One thing I missed yesterday Oh, this cool amenities. Toothbrush. They’re different colors so you don’t confuse them. Body lotion, fabric cap, toothbrush, razor. Never seen them have a razor. And this we need more stuff. And then also the shampoo was the best smelling shampoo ever. So just very cool. So we are about to check out of the Hotel Miso and it has been a really great experience. It’s a perfect perfect view. Obviously you can’t always get the mountain to come out. This morning we woke up and it was cloudy and the mountain is definitely not going to be out today and that’s okay. Um the people have been very nice. We had a nice three course breakfast this morning which was amazing. We walked into the restaurant. They didn’t hand us a menu or anything. They just started bringing us food and it was it was awesome. The only downside about this hotel is you do I mean you can technically walk into town but it’s a couple kilometers and it’s up this really weird hill that share cars also share. So it’s a little bit dangerous. So you kind of feel stuck here once you get here if you don’t have a car. You can order an Uber and they do have a hotel shuttle. So that’s great. But just so you know, I kind of feel like we got the view. If we had stayed in town, we wouldn’t have gotten the view, but we would have been around all this stuff. So that’s kind of a gamble that you can take, I think. But overall, this hotel has been just awesome. The people are amazing. The, um, the bar downstairs was really, really cool, also. So, um, a place that you can stay at when you’re here in Kawatch Kawatcho, uh, right by the lake and, uh, right outside the train station here with Mount Fuji. [Music]
