Mljet National Park took part in representing Croatia at the prestigious World Expo 2025 in Osaka, joining other national parks to highlight the country’s natural beauty, biodiversity, and commitment to sustainable tourism.
Within the Croatian Pavilion, presented under the slogan “Croatia – Climadiversity”, visitors experienced multisensory displays showcasing the unique character of Croatia’s protected areas, including the island of Mljet.
Director of Mljet National Park, Ivan Sršen, was present at the pavilion where he introduced the park’s rich natural heritage, engaged with visitors, and exchanged knowledge with representatives of other national parks and international partners. His participation further strengthened the international visibility of Mljet, while promoting Croatia as a country that carefully manages its natural and cultural assets.
The Osaka Expo provided Croatia with an opportunity to highlight its potential in sustainable development, environmental protection, and ecotourism, while also affirming its role as a reliable global partner.
Mljet’s presence at this global stage once again underscored the importance of preserving and promoting Croatia’s natural treasures, paving the way for future collaborations and attracting new visitors to the island.
