Japan’s JTB Group has established a regional office in Dubai as part of its strategy to expand B2B travel services, with operations scheduled to begin in January 2026.
Founded in 1912 and headquartered in Tokyo, JTB is one of the world’s largest travel and tourism service providers, with a global network spanning Asia, Europe and the Americas.
The Dubai branch represents its first physical foothold in the Middle East and follows two years of research into regional travel demand and opportunities.
According to JTB, the Gulf presents significant potential, particularly as its high-spending travellers show increasing interest in Japan as a leisure and business destination.

The company also sees Dubai’s status as a commercial hub as a natural base for servicing regional markets, as the Middle East corporate travel sector experiences rapid growth.
Valued at US$18.1 billion in 2024, the market is expected to expand by more than 6% in 2025 alone, outpacing the global average, according to a report by UAE-based travel platform Tumodo.
JTB’s new Dubai branch will offer a wide suite of corporate travel services, covering planning, booking, management of incentive travel programmes, group planning with tailored experiences and travel policy compliance.
Marketing support and inspection tours for companies looking to expand into the Middle East will also form part of its offering.
Beyond corporate solutions, JTB aims to use the office as a platform to drive inbound tourism to Japan, providing detailed local knowledge and specialised cultural programmes.
