[Music] Hey guys, today we are at Tokyo station and we are traveling around the Japan diary. Firstly, we are heading to Kyushu area and going up to the middle of Japan, Coobe and Osaka. From there we are going all the way up to Hokkaido and coming back. We will enjoy local food. Yes, it will be a fun trip. Since it will take about a week, I brought the heavy luggage. All right, so let’s enjoy the trip. Sweet. The lights at Tokyo station are starting to tong. Now we are heading to Yokoska. The first ferry terminal located over there. It takes about an hour from here by train. Firstly, we are heading to Yokohama. Now, we arrived to Yokohama. And now changing to the KQ line. And this is the train that we need to take. Sweet. Finally, we arrived to Yokoska. This is a Yokosku station. Well, so we still have time until the departure. So, let’s go to check out the Yokoska towns. By the way, this is how in front of the station looks like. It is a big station to the terminal. It takes about 15 minutes by walking. You can take taxi. It only takes five minutes, but I like to walk. We are heading to the Dita Street, which is one of the most popular arcade in Yokoska. So, seems like we arrived to the Dogita Street. This place is a nightlife area near the US Navy base known for its mix of Japanese and American culture. There are so many burger shop. Feels like that I came back to United States. Very interesting street. All right. So, seems like this is a popular burger restaurant. Why not? Let’s try. So, they have many different kinds of burgers and also the curry. Oh, curry looks pretty good, too. Um, seems like they have something special. Yakoska Kaigon curry burger. They have so many different kinds of burger with the president name, but I don’t want to touch any politics thing. So, yeah, let’s do with the Yakoska Kaigon burger. Wow, it’s my first time to see the curry burger. Nice caulifl. All right, here we go. Oh my goodness, it sounds so interesting and it smells nice curry. You know, since I’m in Yokoska, I want to do it American style. Yes, I want to take a bite. So, let me place the curry to the burger. Oh my goodness, it’s very interesting. Definitely. It is totally different compared to the regular burger. Yes, the Japanese curry mixed with the American style burger. Japan and the United States combination. Yeah, very interesting. Yokoska food. It’s a little bit sweet Japanese curry perfectly matches with this patty and the fried onion. It’s a perfect way to start the journey. [Music] Maybe I can eat the fries with the curry as well. This is the public space that you can watch TV. and beautiful lobby and also the souvenir shop fairy t-shirts and oh me that’s a cute souvenir and you can enjoy the sunrise over here too that’s a public space and something special on this ferry yes they have a small planetarium view. Oh, we can watch the beautiful streets even in the rainy days. And we can sleep over here. It’s pretty comfy. I [Music] fireworks. [Music] And also they have a place to work out too. It must be beautiful working out over here in the morning. It’s still pretty new. So the public area really clean. And also if you travel with your kid, there is a playground for kids as well. You will get the cool penguin buddy. They also have the fairy temperary too. And if you are the solo travelers, you can have your privacy. And also if you want to have more privacy, there is a single room as well. There is a TV. There is a power outlets, USB charger plus HDMI cable so that you can play movie. And also this is something special over here. Can you take a guess what it is? Yes, it’s car. Okay, this is so Japan. I see some crews that having, you know, the karaoke bar, but here you can privately practice your karaoke. So even you are not really good at it, you can still enjoy your karaoke. [Applause] I appreciate it for the private room. And here we go. This is my room, huh, that’s pretty nice. So, there are two beds and also the sofa. There is TV and also small refrigerator. Sweet. There are the tea and the kettle. And this is very important for me. One power outlet with the HDMI cable and also two and three plus two USB cables. Also here hidden wall charger too. We have bathroom. Yes, private bathroom. It’s pretty clean. And also shower room as well. Sweet. No bathtub in this room, but there’s a public bath, too. We can film tomorrow morning. Yes, I have to wake up at very early morning for filming for that. But still, I’m really excited. We have window as well. Tomorrow morning, we can see a beautiful sky. We’ll see. Hold on. They open until 1:00 a.m. We can order from the panel. They have a light snack and also small dish for drinking plus curry and the sabba. Seems like they have something special. Why not? Beautiful sky. Amazing. All right, so let’s go check up the public bath. I got the permission to film inside, but of course you can’t film inside. And one thing you have to be careful is that if you have a tattoo, you can’t enter. Most of the public bus in Japan, it’s like that. So the coin lockers over here. Ah, from here we can see beautiful ocean. So how about inside? There’s one and another one also in the outside. Ah, outside bus too. It must be so beautiful watching the stars from this path. One best thing is that they have a steam room. There are plenty of spaces and from here you can watch outside as well. It’s a shower space and another one over here. When it becomes super windy, this public bus will close because it’s kind of dangerous if passenger sleeps in the bath. In that case, you can’t use that bath. But still, you can take shower over here. All right, let’s go outside again. This side of sky, it’s not raining yet. However, this side of sky already starts raining. Let’s go back inside the ferry. All right. Now time for the breakfast. They have Japanese style tishoku and western style also curry. If you feel like dong eating, they have a bread set menu items and also porridge plus noodles. It’s so and udong. Here we go. It’s the Japanese style breakfast. Miso soup and the rice plus salmon. I think this is a spicy cut roll plus salad. It’s a traditional Japanese style breakfast. This is one of my favorite breakfast. Eating salmon and the daon radish on top. A little bit soy sauce perfectly matches with white rice. I told you little bit salty salmon perfectly matched with white rice. Come on. [Music] As you guys know, I’m not really a morning person, but this Japanese style breakfast wakes me up. Especially this hot pizza soup. Yeah. And it’s a spicy roll. The spicy roll is really popular food in Kyushu region. Yep. We are heading to Kyushu region. This food reminds me now. It’s a little bit spicy. Really good with white rice and also the egg. Oh, there was the announcement that due to the typhoon, this ferry might be shake beer. Well, yeah. September is the typhoon season. Hopefully, it won’t get bad though. Well, hopefully not. But if it shakes a lot, it might be interesting to know. We’ll see. And here is the cashier. You can use the credit card to pay and also you can use the cash as well. All right. So, let’s go back to the room. So, that’s the other ferry. So, they are going to the Yokoska from Kyushu. Yeah, it’s much faster than what I thought for a day. 1,500 Japanese yen. Yeah, definitely. I think it worth it. Well, maybe because it’s a paid Wi-Fi, so that not that many people use it. That’s why it’s pretty fast. Oh, nice. They also have the free Wi-Fi, but I heard it’s pretty slow somehow. Now, I can’t connect it. So, if you want to have a faster network, probably you want to use this third one. There’s a Ford salon. Now, seems like no one is here, but it’s a nice place to watch the ocean. Well, I wish I can stand there and do the Titanic. Well, I just want to know if it really feels like I’m flying. Yeah, dinner time. They have sashimi burn steak and also beef stew steak and concat as well. Oh, let me see what kind of food I should eat. Oh, it’s yucky. That sounds good, too. So, eventually I ordered a hamburg steak. Huh, looks pretty good. It comes with soup and the rice plus salad. It’s the set menu items. Smells pretty good and actually much bigger than what I thought. So, the hamburger steak is a really popular Japanese food. It’s grouted meat mixed with the bread crumbs. So, compared to the regular steak, it’s much healthier. [Music] The cut size is too big, but a little bit of sweet sauce perfectly matches with hamburger steak. Loving it. One thing makes me surprised is that they also have the ramen noodle as well. I really wanted to try the ramen noodle too, but now I feel like that I want to eat the steak. Next time when I find the ramen noodle, I will try. That was pretty good and I’m so full. Price is 1,800 Japanese yen. Loving it. So, we almost arriving to the Kyushu. I got to get ready. All right, finally we arrived. That was a nice trip. Goodbye and see you soon. So, thank you. All right, so we arrived to the hotel that we stayed tonight. It’s Shimonoseki Grand Hotel. Yes, we came to Shimonoseki. Huh. Nice lolly. I just checked in and look at this. Oh my goodness, it’s so cute. It’s the fugu. Purple fish. Shimonoseki is popular for the fugu. Purple fish. And yes, it’s fugu. They gave me the key holder, too. So cute. Loving it. The fugu in the chandera, too. They told me that the founder wanted to display Shimonoseki’s famous fugu in a tank, but since they are poisonous and timid, he had them recreated as a chandelier. is handcrafted in Nagasaki from blown grass. And this hotel look at right next to the ocean bay area. Very peaceful atmosphere. So relaxing atmosphere. There is company right next to the hotel too. Sweet. Oh, they have a local craft beer. By the way, Shimonoseki is located in Yamaguchi Prefecture and IPA beer. Why not? Let’s do it. So, let’s go to the hotel room. All right, here we go. Let’s go inside. That’s a nice room. So, time for the room tour. It’s a bit classic style, but there is a power outlet. Also, two chairs, table, and air purifier. Nice. There is a TV, hair dryer. also cups and green tea. Oh, yesterday night we didn’t see that, but there is a ferris wheel as well. Ah, sweet. Oh, and the food market must be over there. But beforehand, we will eat a nice hotel breakfast. So, let’s go to eat. So, must be here. Ah, that’s a nice restaurant. All right, here we go. Nice. We can enjoy the perfect view from here too. Sweet. In this restaurant, they serve the Japanese style breakfast and also the western style breakfast. But the Japanese style breakfast is more like, you know, the shimosaki style. So, I decide to order the Japanese style. Let’s enjoy. I got tea and orange juice. Sweet. I wish I can live in the Bay Area in the future. Imagine when you wake up every day, you have this kind of view. That would be awesome. Yeah. And here we go. Oh my goodness. Fancy. Smells so good, too. Perfect. And also the harbor view. Sweet. So, it’s the octopus sashimi and also the bacon. with the spicy miso. Oh, that sounds interesting. And it’s a Japanese simmered veggies, also. Yum. Plus, it’s gangoki fried tofu. Plus, it’s a dried shredded daikon radish. And the fruits, it’s ai horse macarons and also egg. Plus, oh, we have spicy too. Loving it. white rice from Yamaguchi Prefecture where Shimonoseki locates and also the miso soup. All right, so let’s eat. So let me start from this sashimi. It’s kashi soup miso, Japanese mustard vinegared and also the miso. It sounds interesting. So let me try. [Music] Mu. It’s not that spicy, but the lemon flavors on the octopus, this kind of sweet miso perfectly matches. Loving it. [Music] And it’s camodi fried tofu. M. The flavor really soaked into it. from Georgia. [Music] Yesterday night, I had kind of interesting feeling because maybe because I was on the ferry about 24 hours, you know, the always the ground is shaking, right? So even though when I was in the hotel, I felt like, you know, the ground is shaking. Well, that was very interesting experience because it was my first time riding on the ferry that long. So, yeah, interesting feeling. But after I arrived to the hotel, I realized that maybe I was tired because I could sleep really well. Well, maybe because the hotel bed was very comfy. Yeah, maybe because of that. I could sleep really well. Oh, this yum. It’s my choice. M. Nice sausy sauce flavor, but little bit spicy. Really good with white rice. [Music] And here, spicy roll. The spicy correl totally reminds me that, you know, we came to the Kushu region. [Music] Oh, really? It’s very interesting. Seems like the rain has started at this side. However, the other side is still it’s totally blue sky. Hopefully, rain will stop soon though. Yeah, seems like if we watch this side a kind of heavy rain. [Music] Firstly, we are heading to the island should be over there. We are leaving from here. So we are heading to the Gandu Gandu Island. So we are right on this ship. Must be interesting shaking. And we arrived to the Kandujima Kandu Island. Oh my goodness. We can see the bridge so beautifully. So that’s the hotel where we stayed and we will go all the way down and that’s the ferry terminal over there. So probably this is so niche for the international travelers but this is a very popular place for local Japanese. Two samurai fight each other and a long time ago. Sasaki Kojiroashi those two historical famous samurai fight each other over here. If you read the manga of the Bagabond which is one of my favorite manga probably you know. However, still the manga hasn’t reached to the fighting part. But if you are reading it, probably you will hear about this island. Yep. Something for local. Almost nothing over here. And then not that many people over here. But interesting island. Pretty much nothing over here. But there are two sunlight sculpture. Yes, there are the samurai that fight over here. Very interesting place for Japanese though. Beautiful island. Oh my goodness. Look at that. Here’s a Pokémon. Really interesting. Oh my goodness. So nice local street. There are fugu lantern and also fugu claw machine too which is pretty classic one. Interesting. And the gachapon over here. And market. They have dasai which is a really popular sake from Amaguchi Prefecture. It’s the sake and fugu inside. And also fugu teapot. That’s cute. So many seafood and also fugu. And now we are at local market. Huge fugu here. Seems like it is a real fish market. And now we are at main street. They sell so many different kinds of sushi. So is here too. Nice. You can buy it one by one. It’s a really fun market. If you love local market, you can come over here. Nice place. Scallop and salmon. And it’s we got a so many sushi. [Music] And this is one of the most popular shrine in Shimonoseki Akamingu. [Music] All right, here we go. We arrived to the next terminal. And this is how inside the building looks like. And also souvenir shop. Ah, here. Kumamon. It’s the popular mascot in Kyushu. Now we are heading to the Kai region which is Coobe and the Osaka. They also have the retro game corner too. Interesting. So the next ferry we will ride on is the Yamato. This one goes to Kobe and Osaka. Right now no cars here but it will be full of cars in this parking. And this is the main lobby. [Music] So this is public bus pass we can check out before the customer ride on it. So this is a private shower room in case we can use the onsen because of the weather and how about inside. Those are the lockers and also the dryers. Of course no photography if you don’t get permission. Ah, pretty nice. And we can see outside too. There are the place to wash. And also this place too. There is a outside bath. Huh. Nice view. And this is the most luxurious one. There are the tables so far also. Two beds plus bus tab. And you can see outside. How about the restroom? Wow. It’s like a hotel. Wow. And also there is a balcony as well. Oh my goodness. It must be pretty comfy, huh? And this is the second luxury room. There are two beds and also the window. We can see outside beautifully, too. It’s a big window. There are the table, refrigerator, and also the bathroom. Nice. And this is a regular private room. It’s small and cozy. And they also had the Japanese style. It’s tatami. Smells like nice tatami room. They have yukata. and also the bathroom. And if you don’t the room, this is a place that you can sleep. This one becomes the locker. Inside there is a futon. You can place it down and you can place your luggage there. They also have the place for the wheelchair too. And if you want to have a little bit of privacy, this place is like a capsule hotel. And they also have the room for the wheelchair, too. This is a private room. And that’s a kick room. Also small game corner. They have a room for karaoke, too. Today, I’m not singing. Oh, they also have the master chair room, too. 15 minutes for 200 Japanese yen. And here, it’s the vending machine. They also have the ice cream. and the cup noodle. You can place the hot water over here. Also, they have a microwave as well. Ah, this place smells like a hotel. Must be here is the diffuser. Yeah, good smell. Good place. My personal opinion though. Loving it. And here it’s the on board shop. They have a cute shoe souvenir and also Kai souvenir. Yes, Osaka expos here too. They have many different kinds of items over here like convenini. There are the ice creams, drinks and also so many different kinds of saki and that’s their mascot. Kuno ferry and the ship in Japanese called kun and the cat in Japanese called neco. So they mixed it kuno. Interesting Japan bono flying [Laughter] nice they also sell the cookie cream puff. It’s their original one. And also they have a bakery system. If you reserve the bread tomorrow morning, you can enjoy the freshly baked bread. It’s a good service, huh? And this is the room that I stay tonight. There are two beds and also kettle tooth splash and also the drink, TV and window. Also the bathroom. There is a small sink. Water pressure is good. They also have this stirring Wi-Fi. Sweet. Here’s a power outlet and also USB charger. Another one over here. And also here too. Here we have a slippers to splash. And uh I think this is for the bath. Plus it’s a yukata. And that’s a terminal. We arrived yesterday night. So it’s actually pretty close each other. And this is the restaurant. Wow, it’s huge. They also have a place beside the window as well. And it contains all the way down. So this is the dining. There are so many menu items such as sashimi and also the dessert. You can pick up whatever you like and there is a price for the dish. You paid it over here. So that’s the dining system. They also have saki and a beer. So, let’s pick up the octopus and you bring tube and also teriyaki chicken. And this time, let’s pick up pisaki. They have so many different kinds. So, let’s do with this one. All right, so dinner time. Oh my goodness. Looks pretty good and it smells pretty good, too. And this time, I got the saki. Let’s have pie. It is furry. They have so many different kind of saki from Kov Prefecture. So, it was kind of hard to pick. However, yep, I picked something sweeter one. So, [Music] actually alcohol percentage is 15%. However, it’s really smooth and very sweet as well. Ch. Oh, and a dangerous spot. That’s my chi. So, the first dish it’s urini. It’s a fried chicken with soy sauce and the vinegar sauce. [Music] Sweet and sour sauce. Perfectly matches with the fried chicken. Loving it. And with this sweet saki [Music] and also it’s teriyaki chicken. Teriyaki chicken is one of the most popular dish in Japan and here too. It’s one of the most popular dish over here. So they told me it’s recommended. Very gentle teriyaki flavor and a tender chicken. Yes, this one also [Music] perfect with saki. Love it. In their recommendation, they’ve also had the steak. Well, it looks so good, but I don’t think I can finish it. So, maybe next time. However, that steak looks pretty good as well. Instead, I got their octopus. Yes, octopus is one of my favorite sashimi, especially with saki. [Music] And goodbye to Shimonosaki. See you when I see you. And that’s a ship heading to Kishu. Huh? Looks pretty big, huh? Oh, by the ramp, we can know how crowded it is. And it seems like not crowded at all now. So probably I better take a bath now. What a beautiful morning. So this is Akashi Kaiko Ohashi. After cross this bridge we are almost at Coobe. So those are the breakfast menu items. They have a Japanese style breakfast and also curry bread soba and the breakfast too. We can pick up the pickled the veggie and something small dish as well. So time for the breakfast. We are arriving to co in hours. So we have to eat quick. It’s almost there. It’s a strawberry jack. Yep. The coffee in the morning. Oh, that’s good. As you guys know, I’m not really a morning person. Compared to the first one, this ferry doesn’t sway much. However, I couldn’t really control the AC in a good way. So yesterday night I felt cold because of the AC and I tried to turn it off and I woke up in the night time because it was so hot and turning on the AC again and it was cold. Yeah. So that’s why I’m a little bit sleepy now but uh we are almost arriving. Well hopefully next sleep I can control the AC better. Yeah that’s okay. You know everything is about All right. So everything is about learning. Yeah. And now we arrived to Coobe. What a beautiful day. Thank you. Now we are heading back to Osaka. It takes about an hour from here. If you want to enjoy the Coobe Harbor view, it’s pretty close though. Now we are changing to the Hansing railway. [Music] And now we arrived to Namba station. Actually it was pretty quick. We are at OKAT. Now tonight we will take a bus from OKAT to the next free terminal port. We still have time. So let’s go to the main street. And here we go. We arrived to Namba station. Huh. Feels like I came back to home. Oh, now they got the number object. Interesting. So from tonight we are heading to the Hokkaido and we explore the Hokkaido area and after that come back to the Nigat area and we will explore the Nigata area too. We will take the ferry tonight and we will arrive to the Hokkaido tomorrow night. It will be a fun trip. And then the next ferry, we have a balcony too. So we can enjoy the nice ocean view as well.
