To find out, let’s start from the very beginning. How to get here, tickets, and what it’s like when you first arrive. Team Lab Planets is located in Toyosu, a modern waterfront area in Tokyo. About 10 to 15 minutes by train from central stations like Shimashi or Ginsza. Make sure you book your tickets well in advance, especially if you want an early entry time. Tickets can sell up to 3 months ahead. You can book directly on the official website or through a travel agent like Ka Look. I’m not sponsored, but just sharing options. There’s also a premium ticket that let you skip the queue, which costs around Β£61 compared to Β£25 for the regular mission. It seems to be available on any date, so it’s really more of a last resort option if you can’t adjust your schedule. The closest station is Shintoyosu. Just 1 minute walk away. There’s also a shuttle bus from Ginsa. Quick and easy. At the entrance, you’ll see cues by time slots. Scan your ticket and you’re in. If you have a stroller, there’s a spot to fold it and lock it at the start. [Music] Before entering the water area, you store your bags and remove your shoes and socks. Immediately, you feel like you’re leaving outside world behind. Stepping in a narrow hallway transition to shallow water. The pool splash on your feet and the waterfall head gives you goosebumps. Next, you dry your feet. It reminded me of Asian homes where you take your shoes off to keep the floor clean. The infinite crystal universe feels like floating in space. Sparkles everywhere. This is unreal. [Music] Then comes the koi pond. The water is deeper than expected. Rarish trousers. For our daughter, it was too deep to walk safely. The warm and cold water creates a strange immersive sensation. Finally, lie back and watching floating flowers above. It’s calming and relaxing. A perfect moment to pause and just take your all in. [Music] From the calming floating flowers, we stepped into the garden. The energy picks up and the space feels alive. Even though it’s smaller, the mirror walls and delicate overhang flowers make it feel immersive. Reflections bounce light in every direction. The moss garden of resonating microcosms is filled with soft eggshaped ovoids across a mossy floor. A faint mist gives the space a fresh almost unworldly like feeling as you move through the voice respond to your touch and emotion glowing softly and resonating with sound. [Music] Even when paused, the gentle flickering keeps the space alive. It feels magical. The forest or athletic forest test your body and senses rapidly routine spheres. Multi- jumping universe [Music] invisible stepping stones. Each activity challenges differently. [Music] The environment is alive with graffiti nature. Colorful plants, waterfalls, and animals drawn by visitors. Floor slope walls curve. Your balance is always tested. Future part lets kids and adults draw animals that come alive digitally. Flying, swimming, or crawling around. You can interact with them as they move. Stepping outside, a universe of fire particles haunting the sky and Earth felt dramatic against the gray rainy sky, almost anime like, mysterious and mesmerizing. Nearby is the glass house with nursery lamps in spontaneous order. I didn’t go inside. They glow beautiful from the outside. [Music] Tea and sake in spontaneous order let drinks themselves become part of the artwork glowing and synchronizing with nearby lamps. Next is an outdoor eating area or vegan ramen uzu and vegan house uzu. A unique spot to relax with all art around. Let’s experience water room. Immersive sensory overload especially the koi. How long? 3 hours. It’s ideal to explore everything comfortably. Kid-friendly. Toddles can enjoy open spaces, but the koi pond and forest are better for older kids. Practical tips. Strollers. Park at the entrance. Lockers, baggage lockers, and a separate set of for shoes before the water room. Clothing. Wear trousers. Easier for the mirrored areas. [Music] Planets is unforgettable. Like stepping into its own universe. Families, couples, and solo travelers can enjoy it all. All the kids can interact more actively, but everyone will notice something different. Absolutely incredible. Absolutely worth the ticket and the trip. My best tip, take your time, fully immerse yourself. Half a day or more will let you experience everything. Thanks for watching.
