Alyssa Solomon has signed with Osaka Marvelous, officially beginning her professional career in Japan’s SV.League for the 2025-26 season.

The club confirmed the move on September 16, adding the 23-year-old opposite spiker to the defending league champions.

Before Osaka’s formal announcement, former National University Lady Bulldogs captain Jen Nierva had already shared her excitement, posting a congratulatory message on Facebook on September 3 to cheer Solomon on as she prepared for the leap abroad.

Solomon departs a decorated collegiate career highlighted by three UAAP championships, a Finals MVP award, and two Best Opposite Spiker citations. Internationally, she earned back-to-back SEA V.League Best Opposite Spiker honors, helped the Alas Pilipinas squad capture silver at the AVC Nations Cup, and contributed to multiple SEA V.League bronze finishes.

Calling the move a dream come true, Solomon said she looks forward to testing herself in one of Japan’s most storied programs and helping Osaka Marvelous maintain its winning tradition.

Her transfer continues a proud NU pipeline to Japanese volleyball, following the footsteps of Jaja Santiago, then known as Sachi Minowa, and other Bulldogs who have taken their talents overseas.
