First Time in KYOTO π―π΅ Exploring Kiyomizudera, Yasaka Pagoda & Don Quijote πβ¨ Vlog
[Music] [Applause] [Music] Good morning, guys. Welcome to Japan. It’s my first time here. It’s a dream come true. We’re in Kyoto for our home stay today. Our first stop is going to be Ki Mizada. We’re kind of rushing, but here’s a fit check. We’re going to catch a city bus to get there. Here’s my mom. Say hi. Hello. But yeah, I’ll see you guys at Kada. Let’s go. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Fair warning. If you take the 206 city bus like us, there is quite an uphill trek to get to the top. How do you feel? Feels good. Feels good. Good exercise. I know. Okay. Okay. How is that you? Oh, wow. Oh, look at how big they are. Hello, Dup. You know, after sweating a bucket, we’re here, you guys. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Thank you. Another [Music] [Music] choke. We’re in the main temple area now and I’ve just passed by the omiku or fortunes. If you have a bad fortune, you can tie it up here so that way it goes away. And then here are some wishes that people wrote. Anyway, we came here at the perfect day. The weather is great, you guys. I was just sweating because of the hike uphill. But here right now, slightly sunny, overcast, temperature is not bad. Hello [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] We’ve just Finished with Kio Mizera and now we’re going to walk around the area, see if any cafes are open. I really want an ice botcha right now. Bye-bye. [Music] A lot of the shops, actually all of the shops and cafes are still closed right now. For reference, it is, what time is it? 7:49. So, one pro is that you do beat the crowds, but none of the shops are open. So, we’re just wandering around. Since everything is closed, we’re going to go to Yasaka Pagora. [Music] Guys, from Ki Mizua Temple, we’re going to go back to our hotel. And actually, our hotel is near a donkey hotel. So, let’s check it out. That was nice to since it’s my first time in Japan besides the airport. This is also my first time in Donkey. I’m really glad that I mean our hotel has one so near. This is really just walking distance. It’s kind of like the midpoint between our hotel and the Kyoto station. I’m getting these for sure because I tried this um green grape one when I had a layover in Narita. It was so good, guys. It’s like it’s really juicy jelly. It’s so similar to an actual grape. [Music] bathroom slippers. All right, guys. Good morning. Not really. We just woke up from a 3 to 4 hour deep nap. Our local time in the US is actually early morning right now. So I think that’s why we passed out. We are now going to head to Teramachi, which is a really long shopping street that has a covered roof. And we’re just going to check out what they have over there. Well, goodbye nasa guardian. I don’t see [Music] [Applause] [Music] Guys, we are lost in every sense of the word. So, we want to go to Terachori, right? That’s what it says on Google. But now that we’re at Tamachi, look at what we see. Suburbia. So I was like, well, this is not right, obviously. So apparently the one you have to go to is Kawara Machi. I don’t know why there’s two names. There’s only one way to go from here. Hopefully we’ll get there before closing time. Finally guys, we’re finally here after 1 hour of commute. L literally I looked at the my history on Sweet and we’ve been commuting for 1 hour. I try really hard guys. Sorry to my parents. Look, it says but it said only 12 stops to 12. It was like 15 already. Okay. Well, it is what it is. Our first stop is a little bit of a cliche. We’re going to my first and only time trying it was in New York and it was really good, guys. Um, I know people look down on it because it’s like a chain restaurant. It is a chain restaurant. But like, but all things considered, it was still really good. So, no shame. Classic ramen. Yeah, I’ll just get the classic. Normal. Normal. Normal. You get this. I’m going to get a green tea. I think [Music] [Music] [Music] Sun [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] just like us. [Music] All right. [Music] Thank you. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Okay. Cheers with water. And now it’s time to head out again. Back to the street. Oh, Guan Machi, not Santa Machi. It smells good. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] You know, guys, we because we took up so much time commuting here, a lot of places are already closed and it’s just 8:00 p.m. like literally 800. I think if you were to come here, come here early and expect to stay for a long time cuz it’s like endless endless rows just full of um places to shop and eat. So definitely you have to commit a big chunk of your time if you want to really check out everything. So it’s unfortunate that things are kind of closing down, but you’ll make the most out of it. [Music] What is wrong? [Music] [Music] All right, guys. That’s all for today. Thank you for coming along with me for day one of our Japan trip. I’ll see you guys tomorrow. Bye-bye. Good night. Good night. Good night.
