Park Hyatt Kyoto: Autumn Afternoon Tea & Desserts, Sept 20–Nov 30

Park Hyatt Kyoto in Kyoto, Japan, will offer its seasonal “Autumn Afternoon Tea” from September 20 to November 30.

Four assorted savories such as “Butternut Squash with Walnut Granola” and “Caviar and Annō-imo Sweet Potato Quiche”; a croquette centered on risotto made with five kinds of mushrooms including black maitake, porcini, and Daikoku shimeji; and a Kyoho grape granité. In addition, five autumn sweets including an “Iri-bancha Macaron”—macaron batter kneaded with roasted bancha tea and filled with ganache made from iri-bancha tea leaves—and a “Pear Mousse” shaped like a pear, plus a chestnut and hazelnut soufflé combining chestnut paste and chocolate, are served course-style. Beverages include “Autumn Pear Blossom Tea,” a jasmine tea–scented drink blended with pear purée and ginger syrup, as well as sencha, a blended tea scented with osmanthus, and hojicha (roasted green tea).

During the same period, three desserts will also be available: a Japanese chestnut and cassis Mont Blanc parfait (4,070 yen), a fig mille-feuille (3,190 yen), and a pear and caramel flan (3,190 yen). All include coffee or tea.
